I've never understood that play, especially in today's NBA where they take advantage of it so often. You're almost never going to block that unless you're a lengthy athletic freak like Robert Williams, and for most shooters it's not going to make that much of a difference. The good defenders don't get up in the air but try and just put the hand right in front of the face. I've seen elite defenders like Smart, Beverly, Kawhi, and others do that a lot to success.

Come on, refs. Are you really going to keep calling all of this cheap crap? You can't get half of your calls consistent with contact, but you're going to call that crap.
