Tatum and Brown have legit superstar potential - that's my main takeaway.

I’ll admit, last year I started to have doubts on both of them and felt that, they’d be great but not necessarily elite. But maybe last year was just an outlier for many guys and it certainly didn’t help with egos around them (Kyrie, Rozier, etc.)

The way they are carrying us to wins right now is real encouraging. No Kemba, no Kanter, no problem.

Even if Brown didn’t make it, the truth is both Tatum and Brown are playing like real all-stars and they’re consistently giving us 20+ PPG/7-8 RPG now. And it’s consistent, not just a game here or there and then a dud. They also play great defense, and I think it was a blessing that they were coached by Pop last summer for some time. Tatum still has some work on that end but he’s definitely improved a lot from last season already.

Tatum with the dunk over Horford, Jaylen with all those filthy handles in the 2nd half + dunks. I hope they remain Celtics players their entire careers

Great win by the C’s. Tatum and Brown are legit. Tatum being named an all star seems to have given him a confidence boost too.

Still don’t see us getting past the Sixers in a 7-game series though. I don’t expect to see us dominate Embiid like we did today. As CBS said during the in-game interview “maybe it’s just our night”. I’ll take it but I’ll be cautious against treating it like the norm. I mean, we are 1-3 against this team.

All those 3 losses came when we played on the 2nd night of a back-to-back and PHI had at least 2 days off before the game. Despite losing the season series I still like our chances against them in a 7-game series especially if we have home court advantage. What could determine things is where both teams are health-wise in the spring, as the truth is both BOS/PHI have a lot of guys with injury risk lol

still too intimidated from that Wanamaker stare down earlier in the game.

Let’s hope you’re right. There are a lot of caveats around regular season games which we can point to to try and “make excuses” (for example: maybe Embiid’s still recovering from his broken finger) and the validity of them varies.

I generally fear 2 teams in the East come postseason: Milwaukee and Philly. I think both teams have our number and are pretty well equipped to beat us, barring any miraculous ascension of Tatum or Brown into superstardom (meaning a level even higher than what they’re playing now)

Interesting that they won without Kemba.

Smart starting instead. More size, physicality and defense - less vulnerable matchup wise on D.

I wonder if that means anything or not.

I don’t think so. But I do think that it calls for Tatum to be just as aggressive as he was tonight, even with Kemba on the floor. Brown too for that matter.

It means Kemba was hurt and Smart was stepping up to take his place while Kemba was out.

Nothing more, nothing less

I wonder if Tacko realizes he's just a sideshow to these turds mockingly cheering him?

I find it a bit creepy too...I'm hoping my creep meter is being oversensitive.

The first loss was the first game of the season, not a back to back. although the foul situation in that game was insane.

I’m not sure about Philly; the first three games gave me the willies, and probably they’re better if Embiid is fully recovered, but they’ve been in a pretty long slump. Who knows what they’ll be in the spring.

Don’t sleep on the Pacers if Dipo is fully recovered. Sabonas is a problem for us, and Brogdon is the real deal.

The awesome thing with last night is that it was NO aberration...

PHI is NOT a great outside shooting team....and BOS "HAS" picked up its defense over the last few weeks...

I think it started with that Laker game, TBH....

Will Embiid shoot 1-11 against us again? Of course not....but he WILL have trouble against us defensively as long as we LOCK IN like last night..

And BTW - GH did NOT play well...if he did the loss would've been worse.

Our Celtics are NO fluke, folks. They keep up this DEFENSE and we'll be in EVERY single game no matter who it is.
