It’s not hate, at least from my end.

I’ll admit I didn’t watch him in college and maybe this wasn’t his best game.  But I just don’t see what the hype is about, maybe if he was about 6” taller.

Even outside of all that, I don’t think his body is gonna hold up over time

I find it difficult to buy into this team's system when we lack the 3pt shooting and size when closing out. Disappointed in this loss but it's not unexpected. It's the same all year, they win a few good ones lose a few bad ones. Here's to looking forward to the 2021 C's.

Rather interesting seeing the Zion hate....were a LOT of folks up in his Grill just last year on here.......

He's currently my second binky, right behind Luka.

Yeah he is fun to watch but scary to play.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Why does Zion make so much money for his rookie year it's insane how does that even work? Did his agent actually work that amount out it's crack he's already a dent on the cap looool

EDIT: No need for that comment
It's called the rookie scale salary. Most recent #1 picks are getting around 4 year $36-40 million contracts. It's part of the CBA.

It's much better than the old rule.

I will say again, Zion had two really dirty fouls on Celtics attempting dunks, pushing both Brown and Theis while in the air about to dunk and it caused both to fall and land awkwardly. If he continues that, he should expect retaliation.

I agree. Why do they both keep getting rotational minutes?

Glenn Robinson was the last straw.

But Zion is certainly worth every penny he is being paid.  Probably more from a marketing standpoint.

I like both, especially Semi.

Semi is another physical body to throw at Greek Freak. He defends him well from what I've seen.

No one is stopping GF but I like using Semi against him.

The C's had their chances. But 7-30 from behind the arc just isn't going to win you many games especially when the other team is shooting like 50% from behind the arc.

That's my takeaway - as usual.

But our lack of experienced vets does seem to be hurting. Having 4/5 rookies all getting rotation minutes is not ideal.

The Lakers laid an egg last week, but their veteran depth augurs well for their playoff chances. I really would like to make a move at the deadline for experience. 3 and D guys (who are not Semi), a versatile power forward, or a defensive-minded big would all be nice additions

With all the hype and clamor for folks to see him play AND NOP being at home it didn't surprise me if he didn't get called for those.

I was going to be pleasantly surprised "IF" BOS won tonight. I'm certain that the young team we have had Kobe on their minds.

The refs were definitely team Pels tonight but The Celtics are short handed and Jaylen didn't look full strength either. I'm just glad no one got hurt. Makes me so mad when The Refs put our players in danger with the lack of calls. Theis is just some kind of punching bag that rarely gets a call and VP was getting knocked all over the place as well.

What if he's a bust? Would you draft Giannis number 1 knowing what you know now if u could go back over whoever was number 1 before?

It's like your paying the man big money before he even plays in the NBA... You can be all flashy dashhy in the NCAA and highschool but the NBA playoffs to win it takes glory and very few players have that.
