The Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and multiple teams with championship aspirations have expressed interest in trading for Detroit Pistons guard Derrick Rose, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Clippers have checked in on Rose as well, but it was more of a common exploratory talk, sources said.

The Lakers and Sixers are in search of point guard assistance for the stretch run, sources said.

i wish we could find a way. sure hope the lakers or 6ers don't get him!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Still can't believe that Bulls just gave up on a MVP hometown hero like Rose and gave away a two way star like Butler for the rubbish they have now.

Terrible fit on either of those teams. Would make each one of them worse.

Philly sure are missing McConnell. Steady floor general who can manage an offence efficiently, and plays annoying defence. He was really solid at taking half-court playmaking duties away from Simmons too. Neto is simply not as good.

Not sure Rose is the answer though, especially given his durability.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Rose will be an automatic upgrade over Wanamaker.

I don't actually like the Rose fit on either of those teams.  He makes more sense on the Lakers than the Sixers though.  That said, I do think he would be good in Milwaukee though as Hill is more of a SG these days and Bledsoe is prone to injury.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Not a great fit for the Lakers but I think they could make it work.  Doesn't make sense at all for the Sixers.

I know danny loves his young assets but I wouldn’t mind getting rose plus michailuck plus snell. If we can do this without breaking the top 7 Celtics players core apart will be amazing.

We saw a preview of what CBS will do, against the Lakers, in the playoffs.

CBS only used 7-8 players when the game was still competitive.
Only Smart and Kanter got more than 20 minutes off the bench.
Ojeleye got 19 minutes.

So adding more bench players isn't really the #1 issue because in the playoffs, the rotation will be shorter.

Even Rozier didn't play a lot in the playoffs last season.

The Celts need to balance the roster first before thinking about adding multiple bench players.

There is a need for another bench player. Ojeleye is not a good matchup for some of the teams, he is mostly only useful against teams with big wing scorers. Also, this game it wasnt apparent, but what happens when 2 of our main guys have off scoring nights? You need those Gerald Green type who can get hot and win you a game or two .

I was speaking more from the perspective of Philly.

He’s definitely better than Wana, but not sure what we’d move

Rose isn't the greatest from 3, and Philly need a perimeter threat. They'd be better off with Luke Kennard. Getting Rose would be like them getting Horford - he'd be insurance for Simmons getting injured. But Elton Brand has been known to build teams that fit oddly.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

McConnell wasn't a steady floor general for Philly. The offense fell into a dark cabin of despair when he was on the court.

They actually survived it better last year that in prior years because they paired his rotation minutes with Butler and had Butler run the offense.

I don't think Philly needs more players who want the ball.
