Chandler Parsons seriously injured in car accident

He was hit by a drunk driver after practice. Reportedly he's battling serious 'permanent' injuries including TBI, concussion, herniated disk and torn labrum, and his career is likely over.

That's awful stuff.   In today's day & age of ride share almost everywhere,  I still don't get people who get behind the wheel of a car intoxicated.  Just so reckless.

I’m really curious what his lawyers will seek as indemnity for Parsons. I don’t want to question the seriousness of his injuries but if he claims that this ended his career and he is going to miss all that future income from not signing with an nba team...
I wonder what amount he is claiming that he will miss out on...

I literally drove by three car accidents on a seemingly calm 4 mile ride home from lunch today. It was especially alarming because one of the cars was crashed into a tree over the sidewalk that I run on 3 times a week.

I certainly hope for the best for Parsons. He always seemed like a good guy who could just never get a lucky break with injuries; this certainly doesn't help. I guess you just never know.

so many many people should not be driving while medicated on prescription drugs .  My wife know what drugs her patients are on , and is amazed to see them out driving coming into her practice. 

I ve always said the the most dangerous time to drive is the middle of a sunny clear day ....when all the old folks are on the road headed to the doctor , or drug store all drugged up.

Lucky he got that massively bloated contract, and has somehow made 125 million in his career, so he can mitigate the health care system.

I find it interesting that a well known personal injury law firm made the story public. Is this because they feel like they're going to have to fight with the team or insurance to get Parsons compensated or did he get hit by someone with lots of assets?
