I think they won't find a partner because the two teams that fit are either playing too well (Denver) or too poorly (Portland).

This is where I'm at.

Also kind of wonder how this will all play out if they can't trade him.

Does he go down with a "season ending injury" right after the trade deadline?  Do they just send him home for the rest of the season?  And if so, then what?  If there's no trade market for a 31 year old Kevin Love now, I don't see a market for a 32 year old Kevin Love next year.  Too much money left for a buyout.  Curious to see what happens if they can't trade him.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I wonder if they'll just end up eating lesser bad salary (shorter years) to move him at this point. I think that might be something the end up doing in the offseason.

Portland can't play Melo and Love at the same time, so I don't think they will go after him.  I do think Denver is a possibility, but I went with Phoenix.  The Suns want to be relevant and I think they will do something.  Love seems like the type of something they might do.

Something like Love for T. Johnson and C. Johnson works salary wise I believe (there are some strange rules at play though).  Cavs get a big expiring in Tyler Johnson and a look at Cameron Johnson as a potential go forward piece and the Suns get a big name to add to their starting 5 of Rubio, Booker, Oubre, and Ayton moving Saric to the 6th man role and keeping most of their other solid bench players or young assets i.e. Baynes, Bridges, Kaminsky, and Carter and Jerome.

That seems like a trade that would work for both teams.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I would have thought Portland, but I no longer think that they are interested.

I think Denver is desperate enough.
