Pathetic effort and well deserved loss that may possibly cost them severely in the playoffs if one game determines seeding. This game was eerily similar to Pats-Dolphins. Flu and eye infections over the last month make this sound like a daycare center. Someone with more medical knowledge than me please explain if flu shots could have avoided what is happening to this team.

If the flu they got (assuming it is the flu) was the same strain as this year's flu shot, sure. But I have a hard time believing that the team doesn't get the flu shot already
I'm bitter.

Gotta say, this was a team loss from the top down as Stevens, IMHO, had one of his worst coaching nights of the year.

He went away from his normal substitution patterns. He went away from a semi hot. He let too much shots come from our PG position. He never put Hayward in any type of position to best use his abilities. He saw the team struggling with the zone and did nothing to stop it. And once again, he didn't have the team prepared to come out with the proper energy and focus.

Yes, the players sucked, but tonight, so did the coach. He coached as well as Jaylen shot the ball tonight.

They came back with Waters playing and then just yanked him. Waters should've also played in the 1st half. We needed quickness on the floor.
Waters seemed better equipped to handle Smith than Smart tonight. I don't know what was with Smart tonight but he was just awful defensively against Smith and IT. Just terrible. It's so not like him.

well that was a hot turd of a game.  every starter shot like crap as did Wanamaker going 0-6 to add to that.  no one able to do a thing to slow down Ish Smith either.  horrible game.

team went 8-37 from 3!!!  at what point does someone, anyone, get a clue to stop shooting 3's when no one is making them?

Two little quick guards and Smart did not match up well against them.

Small quick guards are often the ones who seem to give him the most issues.

Grant Williams went 3 for 3 and was rock solid on both ends tonight.  His 3 pt shooting looks good now

Waters and GWilliams have a nice future off the bench for this team

I would say that small quick guards are his Achilles heal.

GWill 2-5 from the FT line did not help.  they have those 3 points down the stretch would have made a big difference.  not that he was the only one to miss but 2-5 isn't acceptable

Hayward played 38 minutes and had 10 points.

I feel like we would have won if Hayward were a bit more assertive...

It was hard for anyone else to be assertive when Smart is trying to do his best Stephen Curry impression all night long

He gets $32 million to airball clutch threes. Maybe we should trade him.

I do give him credit for trying anyone and everyone to see if they could spark the team. Waters seemed to do this. IMO, CBS should have let Waters continue.  Maybe we would have won the game.

Marcus does some great things in a basketball game, but he sometimes over estimates his abilities. That's okay when you have lower level talent on the floor. But when you have Hayward, Brown, and Tatum on the floor with you, you need to direct spacing and concentrate on getting them going first. Marcus you're not Kemba. Kemba creates spacing just because the ball is in his hands and he's so dangerous.

When one of that 4 gets injured it forces the Celtics to go deeper into that bench and players like Edwards, Williams, Wannamaker, Green, Semi are counted on more. That's not good for the Celtics, that group is too young and in some cases just not very talented.

The Cs need a veteran tweak or two, and not just at the center position.

Wannamaker was hot garbage in this game but Williams and Waters had good games. Waters should've played more.

Seems like an overreaction considering the form he’s been in.
