In a vacuum I think he'd be ruthless enough to trade Hayward to get a star (all-nba caliber guy like Kyrie) he thought fit the team better. But Drummond doesn't fit that criteria. But right now I don't think they would do it. Zach Lowe talked about how they're sensitive to the "IT4 got screwed" chatter across the league. They want to do right by Gordon after his catastrophic injury and given how well he's playing right now I don't think they would move him.

I think Ainge would be ruthless enough to trade Hayward for a big like Towns or a swing like Siakam, but Drummond? Lol no ::)

Same. I don't think I'd want a GM that isn't ruthless.

C’s can shore up the middle with Drummond and thin out their excess at the wind position.

Of course we could also either deal Jaylen but I think he’s just too young to deal away right now.

He’s ruthless enough to trade Hayward for Drummond, but I doubt he’s stupid enough to do so.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Hayward is our best playmaker for setting other scoers up - We need a quality center, but losing Hayward is not the way to get one. I would trade Tatum before I would Hayward - Tatum plays like league MVP one night and a G-leaguer the next time out. Rather see R-Williams turn into our athletic terror in the middle, if that's even possible.

If i am not wrong the main reason we look for a big is because we cannot defend against guys like Embiid. Against every other team the new center would be almost useless  which makes him in my book a roleplayer

So we will trade Hayward who is having a great season for a roleplayer and in this case a roleplayer that cannot even fulfill his role considering Embiid is making fun of him every time he faces him

"uselss" is not the correct word.  He would be plenty useful against any other center, just not much an improvement, is what I hope you meant to say.

It amazes me the constant calls to trade Hayward who is averaging 17.5PPG and is our best distributer. a guy on a 25-8 team out of fear for a team that is 6th in the east with 14 losses.

Drummond is not a fit here, especially for that price tag.

Cs need a minor move. Maybe someone like Ed Davis who has fallen out of rotation in Utah or maybe a buyout guy. They just need some depth. They can manage with what they have.

Now that i re read it you are right. I phrased it very poorly. He won't be as useful as expected and in some case imho even unplayable

I like Drummond and tbh honest i'd like him in green but not at that cost and with that contract

He traded KG and PP so that means he would trade anyone.

I wouldn't do Hayward for Drummond straight up, but I'd certainly consider this one

Hayward, MIL 1st

for

Drummond, Kennard

I don't think Detroit would do that though.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
