The few Wizards fans I see online are really not pleased with Isaiah, and want him out of Washington (for more than just this incident).

I hope he doesn't temper-tantrum himself out of the league.

big as fan as i ve been of IT over the years .  No doubt he went after the ref .  ..Im this close why not just intimidate a little .   

So early in a 4-4 game to get all bent out of shape over nothing

I suspect he ll get suspended, it was blantant in the replay.

That ref should be fired for not making the call prior to the incident, since when it is ok to push a guy out?   IT should not have done what he did in the minor push but you could see the guilt on the ref's face after he made the call.   If he did his job this would have never have happened to begin with.

To me it looked more like IT lost his balance.

You have 6'8" 238lb Melo twisting the ball away from 5'9 185lb Thomas, with no space between them and the ref.  IT losing his balance/stumbling is exactly what I'd expect to happen in that situation.

Kinda like with a jump shot, you have to give the shooter room to land, the ref should give a player room to stumble.

Granted, the shove and "hand grab" didn't look good on the replay, but it still would seem to me that was all more incidental contact from the ref being inches away while trying to wrestle the ball away from 2 players with a combined 63 pounds and 16 inches on you.

The part where he hit the ref with his fist was from the momentum from Melo. The part where he grabbed the ref's hand, OTOH...gotta control that lol. Yup that's an ejection, as much as I hate league officials and referees.

I disagree if he had let his momentum carry him into the referee to and fallen on the referee then your point would be well taken. In this case though his fist landed on the referee he then extended his folded elbow to push the referee. He was DONE at that point. Trying to grab the referee from giving the ejection sign is just an aggravating act, not the original infraction.

Momentum didn't have anything to do with it.  They weren't even really moving.  Also, nobody plays basketball with a closed fist.  He just tapped the ref but technically it was a very gentle punch.

yeah ..your right , he clearly gets control or gathers himself and control of his body before he makes contact , at the last instant , he increases the movement toward the ref in a clearly agressive way and makes contact.  A poor last moment decision on his part .  So early in game , just laugh the play off and walk away. ."......99% of the game is yet to be played .  Very foolish
