Like Embiid situation, it took some time but he looks healthy now

Boy he looked good tonight (and recently)

Out of all the teams from the 2018 draft I thought the Clippers made a mistake not taking a chance on him. Had an extra pick to burn

If Porter meets pre injury expectations, the Nuggets are gonna be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Obviously, that's a big if though. I mean, he was in the running for the #1 pick prior to his injury.

Yeah he's looking like he's getting his legs under him. He would be a very large cherry on top for them.

AWESOME - happy for the man. He seems as talented as advertised.

You can also tell MP Jr has guile and determination as well...he endured the injury trials and is now seemingly on his way.

Furthermore - he will certainly help to improve DEN's chances at becoming a thorn in the Laker's side - yet another minefield that LAL will have to maneuver through.

I wish him the best.

I followed the kids high school career closely. Much more skilled than ayton. Some people compared porter to a better version of tatum, or similar player at least

Good to see him able to get some games under his belt. I was never as high on him as some others - always thought he'd top out as a Rashard Lewis type player (20/7 kind of guy). Still sticking with that prediction, and with his family's injury history I can't put any faith in him staying healthy, but it's good to see nonetheless.

Would be cool if he helped make Denver a true contender!

I don’t think it’s luck. They have been killing it with their drafting. Jokic, Murray were home runs. Porter Jr. looks to also be another one, and they still have Bol Bol who could be another successful pick. Kudos to their front office for building a legit contender in a small market.

It was a great draft pick and he'll help raise the ceiling of that Nuggets squad, but his defence is cringeworthy at times. I certainly don't fear the Nuggets when three of their core players are average defenders at best, but at least they'll make it dicey for any team coming out of the West

I mean maybe?

The concern for him was not his talent, it was his back and other injury history. For a while it looked like the Celtics had a steal with Sullinger too. Does MPJ stay healthy?

Were people starting threads about the 76ers lucking out with Embiid after two big games? (probably lol)

People on here for two years were insisting Embiid was the next Oden and would never have the chance to even approach his potential. Nobody nowadays even remembers Embiid s early injury concerns. It works both pays. Sullinger would likely have lasted 10 plus years in the league if he could have stayed on a diet. It wasn’t his back that did him in.

What? I mean Embiid missed a bunch of games due to knee soreness just last year. He was out of shape in the playoffs because he couldn't do much cardio as his knee was bothering him. That's a heck of a thing to forget.

(of course people also seem to think they lost in game 7 of the ECF instead of the semis the way they talk about the 76ers)

Its really weird that people are crowing about a team's genius on taking an injury risk after 1 missed year, two surgeries, and a whole 257 minutes in the NBA.

Embiid at least has gotten through two years of 60ish games.

He looks good. The question mark for me was always his health and durability, never his talent.

Nuggets have always been shrewd with their drafting. MPJ was definitely someone I wanted here, and the fact of the matter is his injury concerns are always something you have to be very wary about. But considering the draft slot that he was picked at, it was an absolute no-brainer. I also think they gave MPJ plenty of time, and proceeded accordingly with his recovery and developing great habits.
