There are nights when athletes can have all the best intentions and make every effort to be focused, but their bodies and skill coordination just won't respond. I don't know - maybe we thought we just had to show up to win, especially with the shooting vs Cleveland being so easy.

This team does not deserved to be booed. If the fans did that then they would be pathetic. But the Garden fans aren't pathetic  They know bad games happen to everyone in 82 game seasons.

It's like their only second game where they just didn't bring it and were out of the game throughout. The other was the first game of the year. If they don't have another stinker for another 27 games or so, I will be thrilled

Well they arent going to win if their three wing players all have bad nights. This was a below average game for Jaylen, missed 3-4 shots he normally hits and 3 turnovers. Jayson had more Turnovers (6) than made field goals. And Gordon had as many shots as points. And Kemba got cooked by Lowry all game.

Tough loss.

TOR took the Christmas game personally.

Got this one out of our system and let's regroup for the next one.

Don't think anyone here thought we'd be 22 and 8 at this point, so there's that.

Lowry was locked in to beat the celtics , they were play n like it  finals ...they were intense to the max .....i could see this from the first 10 minutes , the celtics LOOKED cooked .  in an interview Lowry stressd before the game they wanted to get ahead and never let the celtics get any momentum.....they did just that .   Celtics were just treading water trying to match energy .  I could see the writing on the wall very early .

i guess they ran out of gas

Tatum and Brown not enough shot attempts. Tatum's turnovers were stupid, but I'd honestly rather lose by their hand than Smart/Hayward.

well that was a hot turd sandwich of a game.

couldn't make shots.  couldn't make FTs.  couldn't get stops and when they did get Toronto to miss, they couldn't get any of the long rebounds.

horrible game.  hopes this lights a fire under their butts for a good long stretch now.

have to say I've developed a real dislike for Lowry.  always trying to get away with a foul by holding, grabbing, flopping and faking a hit.

They were just so flat and unfocused. When Kanter and GW took the oop from each other? That summed it up pretty well.

Yeah, that was the game in a nutshell right there.

I don’t think it’s a bad loss overall. Hopefully this humbled them if they’re starting to believe their own press and gets them back to realizing that if you want to win in the NBA you have to work at it. Good chance to regroup and refocus.

Hayward is the culprit tonight.. Smart gets a pass due to rust.. Hayward you can see his frustration as he couldn't buy a three.

Tatum sucked big time again.
