Kemba taking over. His offence is the essential bookends for this game

This is what the Celtics need. Attacking the rim and getting to the line. Something that was missing last season.

Jaylen can’t stay in front of KP. Weird.
He's too concerned with contesting his shot.

Yeah. Biting in upfakes is generally a weakness and he really wants to contest KP.

I think I, among many others, underrated Kemba's defence coming in
I always thought he'd be pretty good there. A lot of national writers who watched him a bunch talked about how he'd fight. Obviously he is small and will always be vulnerable in some matchups because of that but he fights.
Yeah, I never questioned the attitude he would have. I just underestimated his quick hands I think. His charge-taking ability is legit too
Yeah but fight is so much of it for little PGs. When you have a good defensive coach and players around you just being willing to fight the whole game matters a lot.

Still its early, I'm still a bit jaded after Kyrie started out defending like this for his first 30 C's games or so.  ;)

Its because he can funny enough. Grant and Marcus just accept he'll be able to raise up over them and push him and pressure his dribble.

Jaylen is trying to block his shot still. (which he absolutely can as KP has a really low release)

The C's have put together an incredible defensive 2nd half.  They've only allowed 30 points with just under 4 minutes left to play.

Ha, true. Kyrie definitely fooled me. Seeing him play good defence made his return to laziness even more annoying
