TP for the post.
Nice talk with M. Barnes and S. Jackson.
I love Jaylen.
He is real, he is smart, great player too.
And he is going to be here for a long time.

All the hard work is paying off. It’s exciting and inspiring how everything is coming together for him this year on the court.

Bottom line: he’s all about winning.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

I hope he takes away all the smoke that Brad is having so he doesn't get parked in the corner in favour of legends like Brad Wannamaker on offence.

This drove me nuts yesterday. Edwards, Wanamaker, a horribly struggling Smart, Semi, Kanter and Timelord were all a heavier part of creating offense than Brown was yesterday, all a part of Stevens' weave at the top of the circle while Brown sat in corners. It was quite ridiculous given Brown's efficiency at scoring this year.

Brown needs a bigger part in the offense. The ball needs to be in his hands coming off screens more often getting into the paint. I'd like to see him play more often without Tatum on the floor, and develop some sort of a two man game with Hayward or Smart also. His free throw shooting looks better this year so the option of the opposition putting him at the line is negated.

It just seems to me every time he gets rolling Stevens takes him out of the game.

yeah 8 shots - ridiculous. He is the only guy on the roster who can force his way into the paint against the likes of Allen. That would have helped the other guys too as Allen fouls a lot if you attack him. Instead Carson Edwards is shooting 3s early in the clock while Smart and Kemba didnt just had trouble getting to the rim but were also cold from the 3.

Its been the last few games. I really feel like Brad is harder on Jaylen than other guys. Its hard to watch our most efficient scorer just sit in the corner.

One thing that worried me about this year was Smart becoming more aggressive on offense, and it looks like it is a significant problem.

He is a better in a lot of ways. His passing is better, and he has slowed down and improved his balance. He takes better shots in the lane. But the judicious shot selection of last year is gone, and despite the improvements, his percentages are heading back down to the dismal levels that make him an offensive liability.

We need him to cut back closer to last year's shooting habits. Walker, Smart and Wanamaker have to increase the focus on ball movement. All of our primary ball handlers, plus Tatum are shooting a lot.

I don’t understand the Wanamaker knock. He’s averaging only 4.9 shots/game, and he’s got an outstanding .632 TS%. I don’t see him taking too many shots.

He could be a better passer, but he’s *much* better than TR was last year.

I feel as if that's exaggerated by Hayward being out, but I agree
