I don't think Kyrie would fake an injury to avoid returning to Boston. He's gonna have to play in Boston again sooner or later.

Then again, Perk played with Kyrie in 2015. Maybe he knows him better than we think.

I agree with perk and felt when this “injury” happened to Kyrie it was all to get out of the Boston game.
Conspiracy theory obviously, but the guy is mentally weak and the fans would have destroyed him.

It seemed like Scal and Mike wanted to say something along these lines last night but they bit their tongues.

C;mon Perk...you are EASILY one of my favorite Celtics but many of us here gave you a break when you went cavorting off behind LeBron in CLE......chirping at the GSW players from the bench......

Give Kyrie a break.

Lot of folks writing checks right now that Kyrie AND Durant will be cashing next year.

If Durant loses ANYTHING from this injury or his time off it will be minimal. That means he will STILL be a top 12 player...Kyrie will play better with the Alpha beside him that he unfortunately could NOT get in BOS...............

It's puzzling that some on this board still cling to the idea that Kyrie is/was "misunderstood" and "not that bad" of a teammate.

Kyrie was a horrible teammate and is a mentally soft human being. Full stop. The sooner he becomes an after-thought the better.

We should want Irving to play against the Celtics.  Obviously for the entertainment value but the Nets seem to play better when Irving misses games... which is a pattern that we are familiar with.

You're making a big assumption. We'll see. Though even at say 90% he's still easily an all star.
As far as Perk's comments go though I'd give Kyrie no breaks.  He's an --s.

You can sense the contempt that the organization has for him just by some of the comments from media, staff members and players.  I count Gorman and Scalabrine as staff members.

It dawned on me the other day, that Perk played with Kyrie in Cleveland for a couple season, so I wonder if there's some type of back story.

Gotta love guys like Perk, KG and Paul though! They got traded from here and they still speak fondly of Boston

True Celtics!
