Why is this a shock?

The team he left has improved.

The team he joined has regressed.

Still early in the season for his team to improve (because his old team is not going to regress) but you can see him being upset by this.

They should have kept Dangelo Russell and kept building with that group. They had a good thing going.

Now they have moody, dysfunctional Kyrie, cooked Dandre Jordan, and an aging Durant coming off a career altering injury.

The only negative to the Nets getting Durant was that because he's out for the season, the expectations for this year weren't that high.

That's why it wouldn't surprise me if Kyrie missed alot of games this year. Get rested up and go for it next year when KD comes back.

Whatever...I'm not a fan of that "wait 'til next year" mentality.

One less team for us to worry about in the standings, this year.

FWIW...Jarrett Allen says this is phooey.

People will make of it whatever they want to, but Kyrie's Nets teammates are standing behind him 100%.

SAS talking out of both sides of his mouth.

On one hand he says he is hearing rumors that are are "completely unfair."

On the other he is the one using his platform to spread them.

At every stop along the way teammates have stood by him...while they’re teammates

Let's see...

Kyrie had problems with teammates (and coaches) in Cleveland pre-Lebron.

Kyrie had problems with teammates in Cleveland toward the end of Lebron's tenure.

Kyrie had problems with teammates in Boston.

I'm shocked -- shocked!! -- to hear from multiple sauces that Kyrie might be wearing out his welcome in a new city.

Funny to me that there are more people on this blog seemingly defending Kyrie than even BKN fans.

Hell, go on some other Nets social media sites, they think they were better off with D'Lo.

Face it, like Charles Barkley said, Kyrie going to BKN was completely irrelevant without Durant following him there.

Also, say what you want about Stephen A. He does seem to have good sources around NY/NJ. He's a Knicks fan who wanted KD/Irving but even he was saying a few weeks before it happened that it was likely they were teaming up with BKN.
