Great player.  Will never forgive Chris Wallace for gifting him to the lakers.  (Yes Marc is great too, but no one knew that at the time.)

Before we traded for KG, I was all-in on Pau.  I don't know if it would have brought us a title, but a Gasol / Big Al / Pierce / Allen / Rondo team would have been pretty fun to watch.

You mean Pau "illegal up-and-down in Game 7 of the 2010 Finals" Gasol? That guy? Sayonara.

that was the real shame with the lotto that year.  Either keep Oden or Durant and add Gasol or trade Oden or Durant for KG and then use Jefferson to acquire Gasol. C's probably have 3 or 4 titles with a KG/Gasol pairing and who knows how many if they kept Durant

would Durant still developed the way he did had he played behind 4 HOFs with Rondo running point? also to be fair, I always say if KG never hurt his knee during the Jazz game in 09, we probably/definitely would've had 2-3 titles

Well their wouldn't have been Allen and if you have Durant you don't have KG, so I'm not sure who the 4 HOFers are.  If you keep Durant and then trade Jefferson for Gasol the lineup would have been Perkins, Gasol, Pierce, Durant, Rondo with guys like Gomes, Powe, West, Allen, and then Theo or Wally (since you only make one big salary trade) on the bench.  Probably doesn't win the title the first year, though might have (since the Lakers wouldn't have had Pau), but certainly would have had a real shot to win the next several after that.

Hated him on the Lakers, but gotta admire his career. 18/10/3 for basically 15 years, with multiple rings and All-Star appearances.

Hall of Famer???

I'd say so.  Especially since the basketball Hall of Fame looks outside the scope of the NBA.
Yup

Yeah, gotta be when you look at his international and European accolades.

was a great player, until he went to the Lakers and thus became Laker scum.   Kobe should be kissing his butt for getting him those last 2 titles.

Would Boston even have beaten the Lakers in 2009? That squad was virtually unstoppable that year lol. I still think Lakers would beat the Celtics in 2009. In 2010, the Celtics would've won though if Perk didn't go down with the injury or the refs suddenly giving a 21-4 FT advantage to the Lakers in Game 7 of the 4th quarter.

That mess STILL gives me headaches....I've talked to Laker fans over the years and they state that "The Lakers were more aggressive than BOS...."
