Kemba, Tatum, Hayward, and Brown. I know it’s like asking to read somebody’s mind but if you had to guess? How much belief/ hope dies Danny have in this team’s potential at getting an impactful enough piece while keeping these guys?

Well Kemba is locked up for next three seasons with a player option on the fourth. Tatum I don't think s going anywhere. And the Celtics just gave Jaylen an extension so he's now under contract for five seasons. I'd say the swing guy is Hayward, this year hen an option year. After that Tatums extension would kick in so this team gets very expensive.

If they aren't at least considering it, then they aren't doing their jobs. I think it's safe to say that it's definitely something they considered, and probably one of the top options (with the top option being to trade one of them (Hayward?) for a legit two-way big man
I'm bitter.

I dont think so.

There's no available big thats worth any of them, barring KAT, and even he isnt available so far.

Ainge will always look for ways to improve this team, and he is willing to listen to offers. But no, I dont think its his priority right now. There's just nobody worth any of these 4 out there right now. Sorry.

If the win and loss columns continue as they are then it would be foolish not to. I do think there is still a bit of wait and see with Hayward. If his form continues to be positive  it helps his cause as far as staying a Celtic. The signs are much better for him this season but I still haven't gone, there it is, he is back to the player he was. He is much closer though than last season.

It's hard to say.

Kemba (26 / 5 / 4) and Jayson (22 / 8 / 2) have been so good this year -  especially at the end of games - that it's very hard to imagine the team even contemplating trading either of those two guys.  I think they are golden core Danny is going to want to build this team around.

Brown (17 / 7 / 2) and Hayward (16 / 7 / 4) have also played really well so far - plus Brown just signed a huge extension and Hayward is a personal friend of Brad Stevens, so it seems hard to imagine either of those guys being traded either.

That said, Boston has shown in the past two games that they can play some strong basketball with just three of those four guys out there on the court (and Smart starting).

if Danny stats to feel that the team is severely held back by their weakness at the center spot, or by their lack of bench depth, and that either of these two weaknesses is the difference betyween the team being a contender or not...then it might make some sense to consider moving either Brown or Hayward to bring in a quality big man or a couple of strong support players off the bench.

The good thing is so far Hayward should be starting to convince GM's around the league that he is pretty much back to his old self, and Brown should also be showing GM's around the league that he's a legit young talent - so if the Celtics *did* decide to move either player, it seems like they should get a pretty impressive return.

I mean, if you look at teams out there:

- OKC (Steven Adams, Danilo Gallinari, Chris Paul, Nerlens Noel)
- Golden State (Draymond Green, Kevon Looney)
- Houston (Clint Capella, PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon)
- Portland (Pau Gasol, Jusuf Nurkic, Hassan Whiteside)
- Memphis Grizzlies (Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder)
- Detroit (Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin, Reggie Jackson, Markeif Morris)
- Cleveland (Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson)

There are quite a few teams out there who could find themselves underachiving and wanting to unload key veteran contracts that could potentially give the Celtics a really big boost either in the starting frontcourt or off the bench.

For example, lets say the Rockets decide they want to blow up the team, so they offer you Clint Capella ($14M) and Eric Gordon ($14M) for Gordon Hayward ($32M).  The Celtics lose one of those big four, but in return they gain a 25 year old defensive-minded big who is legit stating calibre (Capella) and a dependable volume scorer off the bench (Gordon).  Could a move along those lines potentially be the type of move that puts this team over the top as a legit champion ship contender for the next 3-5 years?

If Danny thinks so then you can bet your butt he will pull the trigger.

The money won't matter as long as the Celts have championship potential.

RWill and GWill are potential starters for the Celts.
So I'm not worried about the 4 and 5 spot after this season.

It's this season that concerns me.
I really believe the Celts can reach the finals this season.
Ainge just needs to upgrade at the Center position and anything's possible in May and maybe June.

Don't get me wrong - I don't think there's anyone (or a combo of two players) available that would be worth trading any of our main 4 guys for. I don't think that that means Danny's first choice wouldn't be to trade any of them for a legit big man talent, though

Danny is always going to be patient and wait for the right deal, but that doesn't mean he isn't looking for them
I'm bitter.

This league STOPPED revolving around big men almost a decade ago and revolves around wings now.

I don’t understand all you guys continually trying to trade our wings who are performing for a big...

It’s like your stuck in the 80s

All great big men retired more than a decade ago so that's to be expected. I expect us to have a renaissance of bigs soon with how talented the best young big men are.
