Man I HATE that Tatum spent time with Kobe that one offseason  :(

see I don't  mind his shot selection this year. Its really just that nothing is going in the basket.

Yeah, and it's not like he's settling for 3s, either. He's getting in the lane and getting good looks. They'll fall eventually (if fans don't storm the court and ritually behead him first)
I'm bitter.

Both Brown and Tatum can't defend PFs.

Brown has been excellent tonight against Randle.

What are you talking about?

Reason why Brown had to sit was because of foul trouble.

Randle had no problem backing Brown down.
Brown is in essence keeping Randle to an average half in terms of scoring. Can't see how that's worthy of criticism.

The rebounding though..

Tatum ceiling is Andrew Wiggins at this point.

Wiggins is as far from Tatum as Ball is from Magic..

None of Jaylens fouls have been against Randle. One was a loose ball foul, another was on what was actually a clean Block against Mitchell Robinson. So what are you talking about?

He's playing out of position, he's not supposed to be in the paint.

It results in Jaylen trying to be rim protector.

Jaylen should be in the perimeter on defense, not inside the paint.

Randle is dragging Jaylen inside.

come on now

much better already

Wiggins is a dud when the game intensity increases

Tatum excels

Tatum needs to learn to excel prior to when the game tightens up. Keep things simple

...it just shows my disappointment.

I’ll try to be patient with him; but it is year 3 for Tatum....

Celtics 32.7% ....6/25 from three
Knickers 40.5%....2/11 from three

Celtics bench 45 minutes...15 points
Knickers bench 43 minutes ...8 points

Timelord watch: 12 min 2 pts 4 ribbies and "only" 2 fouls (improvement)

Brown is good at guarding larger players. He good at guarding smaller players. The coaching staff puts him on the number one threat 1-4 because he's the best defensive starter. This is gonna happen all season because its a good strategic call. Again man two of his three fousl were off offensive rebounds, not the primary defensive possession. He's not getting killed down low or anything close.

Now if you wnat to say Tatum needs to add weight because we are better off with brown being able to guard someone like Barret then sure. But its not because Brown can't cover randle.

I'm wondering when will Brad unleash Poirier in the doghouse. If guys like Zeller and the corpse of Amir gets playing time, I can't see why Vincent can't.

He got four minutes in the first half.

And 2 out of 3 games Brown gets in foul trouble early.

I really like Randle as a player. Too bad Celts didn't have the cap space to go after him in the offseason. Perfect Al Horford replacement.
