We might be 1-1 but after tonight I'm pretty sure we lead the league in charges taken. Guys are definitely getting into lanes and taking charges a lot more than I remember.

I think Kemba caused 5 offensive fouls this game.

Yeah, he really picked it up on defense tonight!

The Young guys took command of the Celtics tonight...No standing around waiting for a vet to win it. Gonna be a fun year...CHEMISTRY.

Scal just said on post game that Marcus was in Kemba’s ear the whole game encouraging him, telling him to keep shooting, be aggressive...making sure Kemba knew they were behind him....True leadership stuff from our teams heartbeat. Also JT was on the bench shouting “get stops” which he wasn’t doing last year. They were walking on eggshells a bit last year but not this year

Yup....It's Brown and Tatum's team now.

He did this a lot in FIBA too. I wonder if this was a consistent element of his game we didn't know about. It's a huge play when he does it.

definitely picked up on that dig at Kyrie from Jaylen in the postgame.  seems to confirm what many suspected about Kyrie's influence in the locker room

Yeah, he really picked it up on defense tonight!

Kemba was equal third with Marc Gasol last year for charges drawn (27). Ilyasova was first with 49 and, to my surprise, Blake Griffin was second with 30.

He was also third the to years before that as well, so it appears it is indeed an additional talent he has that is not all that well known.

I didn't watch the game, but from the highlights, Jaylen Brown's playmaking looked exceptional. Multiple high level passes and decision-making, scoring at all three levels, etc. And that block on Gasol late ... wow.

Can someone confirm or add thoughts on the highlights?

JB was impressive he has improved someone mentioned that it seems the game has slowed down for him. He made great decisions all night long. He alone had a lot of highlight plays.
That was quite a number of people, I noticed that Jaylen had started converting "good" passes at a much higher rate while occasionally hitting the high leverage pass. Btw did he do any of the latter this game? Here's an example of a high leverage pass:

Haven't watched the highlights/replay of the game (I think I found a site where I can rewatch the full game) so I'm anxious to know about the quality of Jaylen's numbers lol.

Jaylen Brown with maybe a subtle shot at Kyrie, praising Kemba for boosting his confidence with a pep talk after he forced a shot early in the clock during the fourth quarter. “You don’t always get that. Someone might throw a tantrum or something.”

Jaylen Brown basically apologized to Kemba Walker after taking a quick shot during Kemba’s hot streak: “He ain’t gotta apologize,” Walker said.

“He took a great shot. He just missed. I didn’t want him to apologize. I wanted to keep my teammate confident.”

Big improvement over game 1.  Toronto played really well tonight, but the C's still prevailed.  Biggest things that stood out for me were Kemba doing a Marcus Smart imitation taking charges - the way they shared the ball offensively and the contributions of the 2 Williams'. Grant W was excellent and for R Williams, a really nice follow up to his Game 1 performance.  Tatum bounced back nicely tonight too.  Really good win that they pulled out down the stretch.

Grant Williams showing off his guns on defense and Rob Williams coming up roses after one of his best performances, G & R Williams, the Guns and Roses Brothers.

Okay, that was a reach, must be the Knob Creek talking.

oh man what a difference from last year.  Kemba is already a better teammate than you know who.
