I wonder why Wanamaker is getting minutes over Carsen Edwards?

Wanamaker was here last season, he's familiar with our offensive and defense sets. I believe when Edwards gets up to speed he'll take over his minutes.

Also, Edwards is not a point guard.  If he actually could run an offense, he wouldn’t have been available in the 2nd round.

What is with the cheesy halftime show ? Celtics actually paid $$ for this. I miss the old days ............. without the stupid dancers, loud PA, light shows and moronic halftime entertainment. Red was all about the basketball. No frills, just the best basketball team in the world, decade after decade.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

we had 12 off rebounds in the first half.  that seems like the most we have had in a 1/2 for a while

Yeah, and that's without Kanter, our best offensive rebounder

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
what I want to know is why when Brown starts off on fire, brad pulls him after 6 min.
I don't ever get it when he does that, to anyone who has a hot hand.
The hot hand doesn't exist. It's superstition.

what? lol
It. Doesn't. Exist. Does that make it simpler?
Nonsense
The hot hand is a real as thinking wearing your favorite socks makes you lucky.

The hot hand is real in the sense that players believe in it and it makes them take bad shots when they're "hot"; some of em go in and it's "wow hot hand continues!", most of em miss and then the hand is No Longer Hot.

Exactly Why does Stevens not want to give Rob Williams more minutes ? Every time I watch him, he seems to make plays.

I guess he is too tall for Brad & Danny.

I mean he's the same height as Tatum, so clearly not

He was in foul trouble on Wednesday, so we'll see how much he plays tonight (especially with Theis and Kanter not playing)

Williams is 6-11, Tatum 6-8 ? no ??

Guess they are both 6-8, I stand corrected. I could have sworn R. Williams was a 6-10+ guy, a pure center. Guess it's his long arms.

The change in reporting heights has definitely thrown me off, too, but yeah Robert Williams is more of a PF size. That wingspan gives him enough length for C, though
I'm bitter.

Need a halftime CStrong assessment -- I missed the half.   Box Score looks like very good half for Jaylen and a good 8 minutes for Bob.   Stats look less flattering to Jayson and Kemba.   What's the real story of the half?

Is Tacko suited up?

Nope, still in the concussion protocol

We could have really used him tonight
I'm bitter.

Well as a player I can say it is def a thing.  There are games when you feel the basket is a little larger and almost everything you throw up goes in.  I have seen it happen so many times, at so many levels of basketball that there is no way I can say it is a fluke.  Some guys just get hot and they get comfortable with their shooting stroke and they are hot.

Newsflash:

Jaylen Brown is our best player.

Robert Williams is our best center.

Tatum is our most overrated player.

C's played pretty well.  def effort is there as a team.  Jaylen was really aggressive about getting into the lane.  We had 9 steals and got a lot more shots up than Toronto did.  We are cold as ice from 3, and Toronto has hit some 3's.  Kemba still hasn't found his range / shot and is pressing.

Coming to the conclusion that the Cs own stock in Chick-Fil-A and don’t want fans to get the free sandwiches.

As Kungu said on Twitter, Tatum needs to slow down.

So what’s the deal with this challenge. If you win it they jump the ball? Shouldn’t the foul have been called on Gasol and we get 2 shots since they are over the penalty?

Don’t know if they can call a foul there, but if it was a foul it’d be an offensive so change of possession but no shots.

Weren't they in the bonus?

Yes, they were in the bonus...I guess they can only overturn the call, not make a new one even though that was an obvious foul by Gasol. So if the call is overturned it's a jump ball...
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Presumably they think it helps them sell more tickets. As long as it's not getting in the way if the game, and the people booking/figuring out this stuff aren't guys that would otherwise be helping with running the team, it's pretty harmless. I just try to ignore crap like that
I'm bitter.

Box reflects what happened. Tatum and Walker are both pressing. Jaylen is playing within himself and excelling. His handle gotten much better. His D on Siakam was excellent.
