Here's a fun fact about how brutal the East is lately:

We've won 10 of our last 11. Over that stretch we've lost a game on the Raptors.

The Raptors have won 14 straight. Over that stretch they've gained ONE game on the Bucks.

At least we're getting some separation from 4-6.

Yeah it's crazy. Good thing we've gained like 3 games on Miami in just the last 5 days lol

The goal is the #2 seed, but #3 wouldn't be terrible either. We HAVE to avoid the 4-6 seeds though. A path involving the Pacers or Nets 1st round then Raptors 2nd round is way more preferable than Sixers 1st round (maybe even w/o home court advantage) and then Bucks 2nd round.

tommorrows game is where the young Celtics got to,put on their big boys pants .....very unfriendly gym ,  more home friendly refs like we saw OKC catering a million calls in favor of Harden ....just expect him to shoot 20 freethrows .  The deck will be stacked against us.

I feel better about the 3 as Indiana has slid into 6 than when Philly was there.

Disappointing year or not they still have a ton of talent and match up well with us.

Disappointing, but still a dangerous team if Oladipo rounds into pre-injury form by the Playoffs. Big if, though.

That's true about IND, but I think he/she was referencing PHI lol. All the Top-6 East teams are good, but of them I'd rather face IND. PHI still has a ton of talent.

Yeah man, hard to see the Raptors losing another game anytime soon. 15th straight win, they might as well lock up the #2 seed lol.

They still have a surprisingly weak record against good teams, so we’ll see.

Raptors toying with any team that stands in their way.. Kawhi should have atleast given this team another year to defend themselves before leaving but whatever... It sure does look they don't even need Kawhi, Heck the Raptors look like they're better than the Clippers.

Cs path towards the ECF alone is a bloodbath going up against IND who has been very solid all year then Raptors... Wow. We will definitely need an all star play coming from Kemba and the Js to beat these guys.

No, they do not. Toronto are 9-12 against teams above .500, and the Clippers are 14-9 (only behind Denver and Milwaukee).

The Raptors are very far from 'toying' with every team in their path. You really only need to look at their win streak. Wins against Washington, Minnesota, Atlanta x2, San Antonio, New York, Cleveland, Chicago and Detroit aren't really indicative of some mega-team.

Their post-ASG schedule will be much more telling.

Ha. Drummond hits two 3s in Cavs debut.

Those hand-off plays to K-Love looked pretty sweet.

Raptors have the lowest perentage against .500 teams among teams with at least 35 wins. They also havent beaten any top 4 team from both conference in this win streak.

I still have an odd confidence that we can beat Toronto, even if without homecourt advantage. There's no Kawhi Leonard on that team anymore and I feel that'll be the difference in the playoffs.

For us, our job is to stay in the Top-3 of the conference, and to try and be as healthy as possible.

They've also had a bunch of really close wins against mediocre to bad teams. Good for them, but their current stretch is not predictive of their actual strength going forward. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 losses in their next 5.

They play Indiana and Brooklyn again, who they beat by 1 point each within the last week. And also Charlotte again, who they beat by 2 points in overtime last matchup. Likely one of those teams nabs a win, maybe two of them. And they also have Milwaukee and Phoenix which pose a good opportunity for a loss (more likely Milwaukee).

Mid-March through the end of the season is a tougher schedule for Toronto. Who knows what the standings will look like by then?

Not me.  After Milwaukee, they scare me the most. I would rather play the Sixers than the Raptors. Likely to see a scenerio where we face Toronto in 2nd round. It will be a battle.

I mean the only other contender for scaring us the most is Miami and we've handled them easily so far, so it's not a tough choice. But I agree. My fear list for knocking us out in the East goes Milwaukee...Huge Gap...Toronto, Philly, Miami, Indy.

And here's their streak:

Not a lot of winning teams there, though to be fair we had a similar weak stretch about a month ago and didn't take advantage.
