Tatum disappointed me last season. however I think most of us would agree that the sky still the limit for the kid even though he's got a lot to learn but what if he could be the lights out score that are bench desperately needs in my opinion.

At the same time we can thrust Gordon Hayward into his natural small forward role and really give him the ball in this offense to be the second ball handler and playmaker after Kemba.

Tatum could go nuts off the bench and get 18 shots per game and Avg 20 points per game if he embraced the role.

Kanter
Williams
Hayward
Brown
Kemba

That would be my Starting five against most teams. Of course we still have the option to switch to small ball at anytime.

Tatum, Smart, Romeo, Edwards, could provide excellent scoring and defense off the bench.

If we are starting  Grant Williams we will be lotto bound is what I think.  I think it will be ok with Robert.  But I think Tatum starts still.

Ask Hayward that question, Tatum didn't look like a shell of himself last season. Hayward needs to earn his minutes and touches regardless of how good he looks in the offseason.

No. You start Jayson Tatum.

With his talent, it shouldn’t even be a question.

barring any surprises/injuries, the starting line-up this season will be Walker/ Brown/ Hayward/ Tatum/ Kanter.  Smart will be the 6th man.  Everyone else will be fighting for minutes

Not sure which Williams you're starting, but neither have shown nearly enough to start ahead of Tatum.

My starting 5 would be:

Walker
Smart
Kanter
Tatum
Hayward

Brown, and not Tatum, leads that second unit giving him free range to further develop his offensive game. He did well in that spot last year.

Tatum has the potential to grow into in a monster. Jayson needs maturity and more time. He needs to develop that 6-9" 205 pound frame into a 225 pound man. With that maturity his motor should will also expand. We should see a solid glimpse of the monster this year.

Brown coming off the bench really didn't help him out a lot last season, it was heavy minutes that allowed him to settle into the game. I'd much rather Hayward come off the bench if we have to stagger one of our three wings due to how weak our bench unit is, he provides the necessary playmaking to keep the bench offense afloat to prevent us from bleeding massive value whenever our second unit plays. I agree with Tatum having the potential to develop into a superstar, and I also believe that he needs a bit more time, but him being a "monster" at 225 pounds? Monsters like LeBron and Giannis weigh like 250-270 pounds, Tatum needs to reach the 240 pound range (give or take 5 pounds) to be the guy we envision him to be.

Smart and Hayward comes off the bench at 30 minutes a game range.

Tatum off the bench is a miserable idea.

No way could Tatum's ego handle coming off the bench.

He is the Second Coming ...

There is no way Semi starts. In fact, I don't even see him as part of the rotation. He's a defensive specialist off the bench who will get his minutes in blow outs, when someone is in foul trouble, or for specific match ups where they need to throw lots of defenders at a guy (e.g. Giannis). The only way he gets real rotation minutes is if someone gets hurt.

My wish is that some player will fall in love with the 6th man role.  My preference would be for Hayward
to embrace the role...Quick hook for either of the youngsters (brown/tatum) who gets outside of themselves
and tries to do too much.  The push this year is for those guys to assume permanent starter status...and to do this they
both need to stay at high level of effort and IQ...let's see how they do with it.

Kemba
Smart
Brown
Tatum
Kanter

I don't like Kanter or Williams at PF. Rather have Tatum in there.
