Let me simplify, reason why Lakers will not be better than the Celtics next season is because Lebron is OLD!

In today's NBA, 34 going 35 is old.

Even with Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, the Pels never came close to being #1 or #2 in the west.

So Anthony Davis + an old Lebron will not result in the Lakers having more wins than the Celts this season.

I think Celtics will over achieve and get low 50’s in wins. Last season was an aberration. Brad will be able to apply accountability across the board again. No more walking on egg shells around certain players who don’t do their job correctly. Biggest struggle will be Kemba adjusting to a higher degree of ball movement than he is used to. You saw him struggle with this in FIBA. But he will adjust. His ego can handle it.

Lakers are a better team with their big two but feel they will do a lot of load management. Lebron doesn’t care about home court advantage. They will get 49-50 wins. That will be good enough to make the playoffs.

So I take Boston.

It'll be close, but this is the year Father Time catches Lebron. He will often be injured with nagging problems. They will be forced to severally monitor his minutes when he does play. The goal of the Lakers will be to have him fresh and healthy for the playoffs, that will cost them games. 

No human being can play the amount of minutes he has played over the years and just continually skip through season after season. Last year was the beginning of the end.

I' m speaking an opinion of just the Laker vs Celtic games here.

It seems when the Celtics have the upper hand talent wise , Brad and his team folds to the lakers ..way too much  smh . 

But since LA has the run away star filled talent with practically everybody they wanted ....Im predicting a Laker letdown and Celtics dismantle them.   Especially if the game are late in the season when all their stars will be on the bench hurt or rehabing   ( Bron ). rest ing his poor ol worn out body ...


As usual Lakers got their way signed everybody they wanted , built though Free Agency ....put themselfs in the drivers once again pandering to every star to the max.  They should be the new Cleveland Cavs ....team bron moves to LA.   Bron stays healthy , no problem winning mor games than the Celtics.

The Lakers are going to be lucky to win 50 games this year. I believe that the Lakers and Celts will have similar records but the Celts will edge them out by a few games.

Lebron is going to be out games, AD will be out games, Kuzma is going to be off to a slow start most likely. Not great depth on the roster.

LA is a highly overrated team. No chance at anything beyond the first or second round of the playoffs IMO.

I can see AD wondering whether LA is the team for him by the end of this season especially as Lebron continues to age. I don't think it's a shoo-in for him to stay long term there unless they can bring in another star, more depth, and create a legitimate contender.

Top talent, known peaking order, experience and confidence is definitely in favor of the Lakers yet the West is tougher. I think it depends on health of LeBron and Davis. If those two are healthy they are winning 60 games.

My money is on AD leaving the Lakers this summer after he realizes Lebron is over the hill and they don't have much else. They gave up most of their future to trade for him.

I hate the Lakers but I voted that they will win more games than us.    Poor health and injuries to them are about the only way we will win more games.  I will root for the Cs to win every game, but there is more than a little homerism in this thread.
