The Safdie brothers have made a couple of well reviewed indie movies. Their new one stars Adam Sandler (of all people) and Kevin Garnett features pretty prominently in the trailer. Looks interesting.

Looks interesting.  I'd watch it.

According to Wikipedia, Jonah Hill was originally cast for Sandler's part (though Sandler was their first choice from the beginning).

And Amar'e Stoudemire and Embiid were considered for KG's part.
