He’s not Anthony Davis.

He’s Steven Adams.

No.

We're giving away 2 picks to take on Adams' contract?  :police:

Here's the deal: Hayward's contract could suck with no improvement this year, but we KNOW that Adams' sucks. In my book, they're at least similarly bad contracts given no growth from Hayward. I'd rather roll the dice on Hayward and keep the 2 picks.

If Danny makes a trade like this after spending most of his blow money on Centers, I'd be questioning him a lot.

That would be a terrible overpay for Adams. Now if you're talking KAT that might be more palatable.

While the idea is very unlikely to materialize the fact that most fans on here kinda hate it tells me is relatively a fair deal.

Trading a top 35 small forward for a top 10 center is not a gross overpay given that the SF makes $8M more per year. The Memphis pick to me is going to be very similar to the Sacramento pick.
Aldo the alternatives we have at center after Kanter are from bad to worse ..

Trading Hayward has been discussed all summer and all year and it doesn’t look like it’s goibg to happen. The most likely scenario is to just let Hayward expire

Wow, that is one crazy offer.

Giving up:
- A former All-Star in his prime
- An almost guaranteed top 12 pick
- An additional 1st round pick

That is one hell of a haul.  If I'm giving that much up I'd be wanting to get back a lot more than Steven Adams.

I am not even sure if i would do Hayward for Adams straight up.

Sure Adams fits the team needs more then Hayward right now, but will Adams actually be a better overall player then Hayward this year?  I have my doubts.

Sure as hell wouldn't give them Hayward and two 1st round picks, that's crazy.

If Hayward returns to form (i know it's not a given, but the probability is reasonably high) then Gordon Hayward at his best is a much, much better player then Steven Adams.

Adams at his best is a really good role player.   Hayward at his best is an All-Star.

Giving up a potential All-Star and two first round picks for a really good role player is outright craziness.   I'm amazed by how dramatically overrated Adams is by some people on this board.

No, no, no.

Why do so many people not understand the basic principal of 'don't sell an asset when its value is at its lowest'?

Hayward is better per dollar value than Adams is.
OKC would need to include draft assets.
Not a realistic proposal.

No way!

The closest thing to a sacred cow in Boston is Gordon Hayward.

Nobody trades Brad's son (lol)

Why are we giving up two draft picks to take on a the worse of the two contracts between Hayward/Adams?

Both struggled last year, but at least we've seen Hayward play all-star basketball before. Hayward also plays at the scarcer/more valuable position.

Is this Sam Presti's burner account?

The vote total is reassuring, at least. This is an incredibly lopsided trade idea.
