This was posted in another thread, but I don’t know why anyone is surprised. This makes him eligible for the 10+ max contract in 2 years — I’d have been shocked if he did something else. The Clips can then use his Early Bird rights to sign him to a 3+1 with max raises, or his non-Bird rights to sign him to a 1+1 max, followed by a 4+1 with max raises using his full Bird rights.
