With the recent additions of Avery Bradley, the Lakers have created our starting backourt from many years ago. I still like both these guys, so this makes me barf a little.

Darn!

Two of my favorite Cs, and now I’m hoping they fail...miserably.

That bothers me!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This Lakers team is going to be really good. We were all laughing when they didn't get Kawhi (and I understand he would have made them better), but pretty much every single player they keep adding is a great value and really adds to their depth.

We can hope they implode, but in terms of talent, I think they are the team to beat.

Old Rondo is replacement level at best and a shameless regular season stat padder , even Alex Caruso might be better on defense  :P

With that said, I hope they start Rondo  ;D

And kind of insane that Bradley seemed to start deteriorating around age 26.  Maybe he'll have a bounceback season.

Was a great pound for pound, inch for inch defender here who constantly worked on his game  and never complained… A true Celtic!

Yeah 28 is nuts.  Seems like he has been around forever. I hope he has many good years left, just none with the fakers!

I mean, that was the starting backcourt for 2012 and 2013, right?

Maybe Ray will come out of retirement to hit threes for them.   ;D

I was never the biggest fan of the Rondo - AB backcourt and I certainly don't think it's any great shakes in 2019.

Yeah they're gonna be tough to beat with all these signings they've done. Definitely a western conference finals showdown between Lakers and Clippers.

Ehh ... LeBron is not going to play defense in the regular season and he will probably only play like 60-70 games at most.

Whenever Bron is not playing, AD is going to have to carry a team that is worse than the Pelicans were.

Whenever Bron is not playing, AD is going to have to carry a team that is worse than the Pelicans were.

And you can usually count on AD to miss about 20 games per regular season, so there's probably gonna be several games, at least, where the best player on the court for the Lakers is Rondo or Kuzma, and that doesn't bode well for them.

And P.S.: Remember how so many people were projecting such great things for the 2018-19 Celtics? The 19-20 Lakers could be the next version of that.

I don’t think they make the playoffs.  I do think they are a scary team should they make the playoffs, but I don’t see them getting there.

Hate to admit it, but Lakers put together a pretty good team.

Not necessarily because of Bradley and Rondo, but they have some serious size with AD, Cousins, McGee, Kuzma, etc.

And they'll have shooting with Danny Green and Cauldwell-Pope.

Not really the starting backcourt of our Big 3 era, only for half a season when one of our big-3 went down.
