Tacko’s play in Vegas turning people around.

Big swing in the poll from 60-40 No to a majority (49-46) saying Yes.

Go Tacko!

I wonder if you could change your response to the poll, how many people who voted earlier would do it.

I hope they work out something to keep him around.

I'd 1000000000% take him over Yabusele who has shown absolutely nothing and continues to. But I also acknowledge that his 3-4M in salary could prove useful in a future trade if needed.

Still, I'm all in on the #TackoTrain

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Waters signing that two-way deal a couple hours ago means Tacko likely is not gonna be in Green next year...

Tacko is going to camp.  If he beats out Yabusele or Strus he’ll be kept/converted to a two-way.  Or if there’s a trade that opens a roster spot, and injury to Wannamaker or Yabu, etc.  Small chance he could beat out Williams.

The odds are stacked against him, but they always were once he wasn’t drafted.

Celts not done dealing.

I think Tacko will be part of the opening night roster.

Celts have too many players right now.

A move will be made.

Hopefully it's for another star player.

Tacko is such a raw project don't think a 2way deal would be way to go. He probably needs a lot of closer in depth development. D-League isn't a good place for guys to develop it seems as players don't speak well about it. A 2nd round level in pay contract for 3 years should give team flexibility to develop him in house under BS and staff.

I'm hoping they give him a shot. I would be happy if he just developed into a Boban/Bradley hybrid and would love a Gorbert/Yao hybrid but last one is doubtful.

They can’t technically give him a 3-year contract at this point.  He’s signed to a 1-year deal.  The only way they could give him more is to release him, hope he clears waivers, and then resign him.  In order to give him three they’d also have to stretch Yabusele to crest cap space, otherwise the most he could get is two.

But just keeping him for a year, either on a two-way or as the 15th man, would suffice.  He’s not going to get a ridiculous offer in restricted free agency next summer.  If a year of development makes him look worth investing in for longer, they’ll have the option of a two-year minimum, up to the BAE for two years (if he gets a slightly higher offer they need to match) or a longer l, and potentially, higher, deal with the MLE.

Didn't know he signed a one year thought he was still on 10 days.

It was always a one year deal. It's called an exhibit 10 contract, but it's a one year deal.
