The Suns are light years ahead of the rest of the league in terms of sabotaging the development of young players.

I'm sure Josh Jackson would have disappointed wherever he went in the draft, much like Bender and Chriss before him.  Still, I kinda doubt he'd be as much of a zero if he'd gone to some team that actually has a clue.

At the very least I really like the trade for Memphis.

If Jackson can become 70-80% of what people thought he could have been when he was drafted that could be your future starting wing that you just picked up for peanuts.

He was my binkie going into the draft. Man I got that wrong. Thought he’d be a great Celtic.

I don’t even expect Jackson will even get his option picked up.  The Grizzlies got second round picks to take him, saving $2.5 million of cap space for Phoenix.  This was a straight salary dump for future picks.

Makes the Sixers trade to dump Fultz look good.

The Lakers by comparison did great to have Ball’s salary be useful in getting Davis.  3 of the top 4 picks have been given up on quickly.

he is more explosive, versatile defender and a good passer

the jump shot was a concern and it looks like, its still the same

his body still looks the same also

If he was more dedicated and didn't get himself involved in offcourt issues.... ton of potential

maybe this is a wakeup call. But odds are, he will be out of the league after his rookie deal is finished

Josh Jackson did us the biggest favor when he spurned DA like a punk... I was so worried he was going to take him over Tatum once we traded down to 3, he resembled the exact type of player DA loves...scrappy, athletic, and unable to shoot.

For all the mistakes DA has made in the draft, Tatum over JJ was one of his best moves.

JJ is explosive, but the terrible attitude and suspect jumper had red flags all over it. To be fair in any other environment he would probably at least be serviceable, but PHX is terrible at developing young players.

Interested to see how he does in a new environment

It's kind of funny, but Tatum is the only one of the top 4 from his draft that hasn't had his career look like a joke so far.
