If Theis is starting? Hard to see the C’s being a real threat.

With walker though, we’re a LOCK for the playoffs.

If the Celts can get a quality big man then Kemba and the Celts will be contenders.

But if the Celts just have Rob Williams and Daniel Theis as the Centers then the Celts will just be a playoff team, not a contender.

Definitely... the juggernauts of the East could look a lot different next season. We simply need a serviceable defensive big like Lopez, along with bench front court scoring like Jamychal Green or unleash Semi... I really think there is more to his game.

The competition could also look very different. 76ers could lose both Butler and Harris. Bucks could lose Brogdon, Mirotic, Lopez, Hill. Raptors could lose Kawhi.

I would say there is 50% chamce gallinari is on philly next season and that could be a dangerous frontcourt

Stefan Bondy: Teams that have expressed interest in free agent center Enes Kanter include the Lakers, Celtics and Blazers, according to a source. 37 mins ago – via Twitter SBondyNYDN

We have won 53 games with Amir, Kelly, Jerebko and Zeller as the rotation bigs and 48 games without Al. I think we will still be in the top 4 conversation, provided Danny gets us a productive big in the market.

With a Kemba, the Cs have a decent chance to be a contender this year.

Without Kemba, they have NO chance.

Agreed. And even right now w/Kemba, I think they'd be a Top-4 team in the East, and maybe even going up those rankings depending on what happens with the FAs of the other East teams and their moves. Not a true contender but still a legit playoff team.

Remember, even if BKN add Kyrie + KD, KD is out all next season so I'd still have us ahead of them. Same if KD goes to NY.

TP....agree.

I think that a lot of people underestimate us, partly because of the higher expectations And low results of this past season.

Definitely got our Irving replacement real quick. 3x All-Star and had a career-best season last year.

Now Ainge just needs to add a Capela or Kanter and this team will be a contender in the East.

Agreed. Kemba and Kanter would be a VERY good start considering the awful start to the offseason (Kyrie leaving, Davis wanting to be Lebron's lap dog, Horford leaving, etc.)

I think we are definitely a contender with Kemba and a center like Kanter. Ainge would then have to find a decent power forward. Looney would be nice.

Kanter would definitely be serviceable. A big who gobbles up rebounds. Does he set good picks? I’m not sure. That’s another thing this team needs. Good pick setting. Tatum and Hayward are both terrible at it and one of them is your starting PF.

Let's hope that's a focus for them this offseason. Though JT probably more focused on his iso moves and Gordon on his drive-and-kick

I'd love to have Enes Kanter onboard, but remember he can't play in games outside of the US due to political reasons.

In other words, if we have a playoff game at Toronto (more critical than regular season game), his missing presence is going to be huge. And those guys have huge men in Ibaka/Siakam roaming the front court. Who knows what their free agency with Gasol/Leonard could end up as well.
