At this point, if we’re signing Kemba and we’re stacked at the wings, we can’t be doing that competitive of a move and have literally no center. I’m hoping we can either trade for Capela or Adams or use our mid-level and BAE on two decent big men, maybe Kanter, Desmond, Lopez, Noel or some combination of the above.

This team needs one power-forward and one true center. They already got Tacko Fall, but I don't even know if he'll crack the rotation. They got the Williams mini tower as backups.

Exactly, there are two gaping holes, not one.

Celts need a PF alongside Tacko?

If that's the case then Ainge should go after Jordan Bell.

Celts will have a Tacko-Bell combo!

I just don't care anymore about anything at all.

I want Tacko. I want LOTS of Tacko. Tacko fills the gaping hole in my heart for fun basketball.

Genuinely don't care how many games we win in 2020.

Tacko.

Does nobody want to take a flier on Nerlens Noel? I think he could be great for us, hes a great defender and vertical spacer. Plus he's from Boston and names Bill Russell as his favorite player.

Do we have enough salary cap space for him after signing kemba?

We don't need to overpay for serviceable bigs, honestly. I mean, we won 53 games with undersized front court of Al, KO, Jerebko, Amir and Zeller. This year's market will provide better production than that group aside from Al.

We only need the MLE and veteran min to get these needs.

This guy also seems to be rumored with the Celtics:

If if it’s a straight out sign for Walker we’ll have the room exception about 5 mil and minimum contracts.   If Danny pulls off a S&T for Walker we’ll have the mid level exception of about 10 mil and the bi annual exception of about 3 mil plus minimum contracts.

Noel is my dark horse candidate.  I had a very long write up about him tucked away in the Vonleh thread.   He may have finally learned to play a role on a winning team last year.  His per 36 stats puts him 3rd in the league in blocks and first in steals!  The steals is just amazing for a big guy.  He only played 14 MPG but was behind Adams.  OKC is in luxury tax hell so they probably won’t sign him.  I’d like Noel, another center like Dedmon, R Lopez, ect and a cheap stretch 4/5 like a Vonleh.   Not sure we can squeeze 3 guys in like that but at least 2 I’m hoping for.

I’m pretty sure they’ll sign or trade for a big man. I don’t think they need a big name but someone who is effective.
