Should we be nervous that Silver will void this signing?  It's posted on ESPN as a done deal. That has to annoy him and the other teams. No other FA signings are that final so far.
you can't be serious

Where's the proof? Its all speculation what people are reporting unless there's proof what can the league do

It's not like this hasn't happened before, or even this year, look at Horford, he's had some thing in place for a week now. From what I've heard Tatum and Kemba during the Jordan thing they just did were inseparable. Tatum talked to Kemba, and Tatum then talked to DA, and it went on from there. As long as the GM/Owners didn't have direct contact to the players, its a gray line that works. Other teams already seem like they have S&T deals in place, like rumored Nets/Wolves trade.

Plus Lebron has been calling people before the season ended. As long as Tatum was the middle man, it should be all good. Or Silver would have to void every move made day one.

It would not surprise me if Silver penalizes Boston for Lakers tampering.

Stern...yes. Silver doesn't say anything.  If so Lebron and Klutch would be busted.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Source close to Kemba Walker told me that primary reason for the All-Star point guard choosing Boston was chance to go deep in playoffs — and play with talented guys like Tatum, Hayward and Jaylen Brown. Doesn’t feel as if he has to do it all by himself - which was case in CLT.
love it. We didn't have to beg for him to come. We didn't have to trade for a superstar. Lets do this..

The Kemba era now begins

HE WANTS TO BE IN BOSTON!!!! You cannot overemphasize this point. WTG Danny!!!! Seems like Cs actually told Kyrie he is not wanted back.

Is that like when someone starts to breakup with you and you claim you were gonna break up with them first?

I'm getting cautiously optimistic about next season.

I am getting there too....

Cautiously optimistic. We just need to see how the big rotation shakes out, especially if we're theoretically using Gordon Hayward as a 4.

I stand by my post, it does not appear Danny was bringing Kyrie back. He is a malcontent.

Literally the entire NBA: Kyrie doesn't want to go back to Boston. Even though Boston still really wants to pair him with Anthony Davis, he's made it known behind the scenes that he's fully intent on going to Brooklyn.

Ogaju: Danny wasn't going to bring him back. He was a malcontent.

What's next? Danny told Al they weren't going to resign him because they wanted to clear space for Kemba?

you have never written a critical post about Kyrie but you do not lose a chance to slam Hayward even calling him emotionally fragile?

I have stated my opinion, Kyrie said he would be back if Boston would have him. He is not back what do you think that means Well unless of course Kyrie is a liar. Take your choice.

I've been plenty critical of Kyrie, I just don't subscribe to the mob mentality of making up things and jumping on inflammatory opinions. You accuse Kyrie of singlehandedly destroying Danny's "masterplan" bc he wouldn't commit but then you say Danny didn't want him back. Which is it, dude? And no, I won't go easy on Hayward. He's got enough people bending over backwards to kiss his boo-boos. If the dude plays badly, the dude plays badly. His wife said during the playoffs that he is 100% back physically, it's the team's fault he's not appreciated. So I'm gonna call it like I see it.

With all the complaining on here about tampering, it would be fitting if Charlotte made a tampering complaint against us.

It'd for sure be karma. But I hope Danny and Co. are smart enough to not leave a paper trail.

Exactly.  Besides lebron has team rosters finalized years in advance.  He’s such a hypocrite

Danny scoped this guy's act after he tanked the playoffs. How do you bring that kind of character back Of course Danny wanted to keep him as the anchor to the new team with AD, but his antics during the playoffs was enough to move on from him. Hayward is a gamer for making it back from a horrific injury.

I'm sure Danny has about 10000000 burner phones and snaps one after every phone call

its a nice consolation prize and pivot after losing both Irving/Horford...we were looking at the prospect of having to resign rozier or start smart and miss the playoffs.

now, with a few moves we are right back in it. and it dispels the notion that no-one wants to play here considering C's for a 3rd time in 4 years got one of the top Free agent signings.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I wouldn’t worry about tampering. The contract terms were pretty certain wherever he was going outside of CHA (max). It’s pretty easy for an agent to play the middle man in these types of negotiations.

I actually think the Al negotiations are much more egregious. They apparently already have worked out the number of years and salary at a non-max figure. I don’t really care (I keep seeing people claim that everyone was complaining with Al, but looking the other way with Kemba - I don’t really think that’s been the case).

Either way, if a player isn’t talking directly with the team, then it isn’t tampering. If they don’t want teams talking to agents either,, then they need to change the rules.

This really takes out thr sting of the nuclear summer.  The cs desperately need a big.  Here's to hoping the nuclear summer just turns out to be a bee sting losing al and kyrie.  I know there aren't many options for bigs with the small exception the cs have but you would think Danny will do everything in his power to get creative.

Is the below even possible

3 team deal

Rozier to Charlotte
Kemba to Boston
Kyrie to the nets

Picks to Charlotte and nets.

I don't know the rules.  Just on a high that the cs are pulling in a star so forgive me if this isn't possible.

Now if it is let's go full dream scenario.  After this sign and trade the cs sign and trade Horford to NO and use that exception to get Adam's from the Thunder.

Kyrie sign and trade creates a 20 mill tpe.

That can be included with a couple of players to charlotte (semi and yabusele or s&rt rozier) to match salary for a sign and traded irving.

That is ideal scenario as it means team would technically not have capspace and would get full mle and the potential to sign and trade horford, creating another tpe at 13 ish million.
