Insane overpay. Making more than Redick

Danny Green is better than JJ Redick. He should earn more. Green is better than Redick because not a defensive liability who cannot defend anybody anymore.

Green is exactly the type of role you want next to LeBron, AD and Kuzma. A tough defender. A low usage high quality shooter. And he can handle the ball some too. Perfect.

Kawhi really shafted LA Lakers by waiting so long that it hurts their options now.  Got to love that guy, he gave them a bigger story than the earthquakes. this morning!

Anyone else, find the role inversion funny where Knicks lost of Brooklyn and Lakers to Clippers.   I know, I do, those are two of the biggest media darlings that press always claim are free agent meccas and try to drive players there.   A classic example of sports press creating a story and reporting it that did not fit the actual narrative.   Players seem to love trolling the press these days, too.

I dunno, I think Green has become overrated after his stint in Toronto. He was quite inconsistent in the three years prior to being traded, whereas Redick has been a consistent 16+ PPG scorer for 5 years with no signs of slowing down. I think Redick is being slightly overpaid, especially when he's making more than Smart, but $15m for Green is yuck.

Sounds like Raptors were in play to trade for PG and keep Kawhi.  Getting that unprotected Heat pick in the Harris trade may have put the Clippers over the top.
