I would have loved to see the Celtics sign him instead of Wanamaker , but our cap $$ has to be better spent on big men than point guards at this point.

The Grizzlies are trading Kyle Korver and Jevon Carter to the Suns for DeAnthony Melton, Josh Jackson 2020 second-round pick and 2021 conditional second-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

I mean I know he wasn't playing great for the Suns but since when did he become a boat anchor?  Is there something I missed?  Or is he just that bad?

He got arrested during the season. Then, last week the mother of his child reported that he smoked so much weed around the baby that the baby became extremely high and nonresponsive.

As @BobbyMarks42 says, Phoenix now has the salary cap space to sign free agent Ricky Rubio to his three-year, $51M deal.

Josh Jackson is a free-look for the Grizzlies, but Melton is a prospect that Memphis has long evaluated as a prospect with some staying power. Suns future second-round picks typically convey in the low-to-mid 30's. Suns save $5.5M on Korver buyout vs. Jackson salary.

I mean I know he wasn't playing great for the Suns but since when did he become a boat anchor?  Is there something I missed?  Or is he just that bad?

Holy crap that kicked up a notch. Yikes. Endangering an infant is a much bigger red flag to me than getting arrested or taking plays off on probably the lowest-morale team in the league. We did dodge a bullet there. Tatum just seems like he eats a lot of tacos around his baby.

1+1 back in Toronto would be okay. If he decides to go to Lakers in two or one year, the landscape of the NBA should be different by then.

Just hope the Lakers don't form a Big 3 of Leonard/Davis/Giannis because that would be sickening. And LeBron if he's still prime LeBron.

Good thing he turned the plane around (or whatever he did to diss Danny and Brad) ;-)

LOL.  I think he essentially forced DA into an unnecessary flight.  Never trusted JJ.

Would be big that LA management is so corrosive now, that it would make Kawhi say No...He probably cant shake the thought of legend Magic walking away from the ownership and that February deadline drama where most of the team was thrown under bus in hopes of getting Davis.

East will be tougher then last year if he returns. Rather him be a Clippers team member but apparent Doc struck out as did their management in not getting one max player this offseason.

Yeah, latest rumors suggest he is signing a 2-year deal with Toronto and will re-evaluate the Clippers and Lakers in 2 years. He reportedly preferred the Clippers but wants one other star there before joining.

Its funny. I heard that Jalen Rose quote and it can be interpreted a couple different ways . Rose said "he is 99% hearing" that Kawhi is returning to Toronto. What does that mean? Does it mean that out of 100 people talking about Kawhi that 99 are talking about Kawhi to Toronto or does it mean that his sources are 99% certain Kawhi is returning to Toronto.

I think all of this shows Kawhi really wants to be a Laker but the conditions he'd have to accept to join them might be more than he wants to deal with. His love for LA is so great, in fact, that he'd settle for the Clippers if they had more help.  Ultimately he'll probably stay in Toronto because it's comfortable, still gives him a great shot to win, and he's young enough that he still can go to LA in a couple of years if the situation is better.

I just view it as hot air (like everything else), and he gave himself an out. If Kawhi signs with the Lakers or Clippers he’ll just say the 1% chance he left prevailed.

do planes really turnaround like the movies? dont they have flight plans, etc?
