NFL, Belichick can look at "what everyone else is doing" and then, build a team that goes against the grain. Welker, Edelman, Amendola + Gronk or whatever athletic TE.
Now he has a fleet of running backs. I get that Bill has a lot of luxuries, but Stevens isn't fighting for his job. Thus, my point "everybody has small centers who can go outside and are this and the rest of the team is that"...blah, blah.
Stevens has 9 coaches sitting there and they can't take what Ainge gives them for bigs and make something happen? And I don't mean a miracle. I've watched the films, these guys are average...Baynes was that good? He never played.
You guys talk about all this stuff that Poirier and Kanter and whomever "can't do."
Doesn't the coach "work an angle?" Use the 7 foot dude in such a way that the 7 foot dude can stay afloat and the four really good players on the Celtic's unit playing with him can work it? Kanter/Poirier are going to have four all stars on the court with them for crying out loud.
Perkins was like a F150 with three flat tires and everything worked out ok....right? Rivers is that much better a coach?
Red would've have made it work. Danny Ainge wasn't that GD good and he got minutes and helped the team.
