If Kyrie leaves (and it seems fairly certain he will) and if Horford also leaves (hope the C's can sign him to a contract to stay), and the Celtics only win 41 games will you blame Brad Stevens as the primary reason for the mediocre season?

Next season will be a sifting season to once and for all know what we have in our young core... the record is immaterial, developmental strides is what I'm looking for.

It's legit contender or bust for me... no interest in being another 60-win team to get bounced in the 2nd round

Given the exodus of talent from the roster I wouldn't put the blame primarily on him.

Though i would be disappointed, I think the C's should be decently above .500 assuming the team fills out the roster at PG/Bigs

“Only” 41 wins?

If we’re in playoff contention with no quality bigs and a bottom tier PG, Brad should be commended.

Heck no!  He'll have done a great job for the current team (minus Kyrie, Horford, Baynes, and probably Morris) to finish .500!

I expect our record to be closer to 49 wins than 41 wins, and if not it will be on Brad and the team. Of course a lot will depend on how we resolve our center and power forward situation during FA.

If he does not have the talents, what else can he do?

Anyway, I don't think this will be .500 team.

Vegas still has us around 48 wins.

Which is surprising to me, projecting us to add solid talent with the cap space.

Yup, hard to blame the coach for not squeezing every drop of potential out of every player and over achieving.

I'm not sure if you think it's gonna be more or less than 41 wins

i would not say all, some players are funny and out his control.....but sure he deserves plenty criticism. absolutely justified. no argument from me.

If Kawhi resigns and Raptors bring it back are they the favorite in the East?

Stevens blew it this year, but he has had remarkable results before so he should get the chance to learn from his mistakes. However it's quite unsure how the team is going to look like, the roster right now is underwhelming and are we trying to develop talent or trying to contend?

From all the reports I've read I get the impression that Stevens (a passersby) has a lot of influence on the drafting process and roster composition, so I will hold Stevens accountable for the results he achieves next season.

Being a .500 team (like Detroit and Charlotte) is so unappealing. Maybe the last months have been too 'interesting' that we will happily accept a boring mediocre team.

I think so, maybe co-favorites with the Bucks depending on who the Bucks bring back.
