If you're reading this Romeo, welcome to Boston! You might not have been many people's first choice but we'll cheer for you now that you're a Celtic.  ;D

Our annual “guard who can’t shoot”.
My first reaction.

Danny's generally in love with two types of draftees—guards who can't shoot, and bigs who aren't really big. He surprises me once in a while, but he doesn't stray from this formula often.

I don't closely follow college hoops, so admittedly I don't know about this guy Langford, buuuuut ... another wing? Really? I understand the best-player-available philosophy, but was he really the best player available? There wasn't a point guard or legit big who reasonably could've been considered BPA?

I still like Doumbouya more, but we have to give him a chance

Doumbouya projected to go 9, don’t know why he slipped. Thought we might take him. But like Romeo.

Giving this pick a little bit of thought - and also listening to Brad's comments - it pretty apparent that Brad has known about this kid for years and he's one who's always been tipped for star potential.  This is swinging for the fences at #14 so I'm good with it.

I'm sure the thumb injury affected his shooting.

Maybe we are giving Brad one Indiana guy to soften the blow when we trade his current favorite Indiana guy.

There DEFINITELY wasn’t a better pg out there

There were a bunch of bigs who could be argued, but Langford was top of my list the moment Rui Hachimura got selected

Here's another question I have: Why is almost every Ainge pick, regardless of position, undersized? We almost never get a taller-than-normal guard or forward.

because those taller guys get picked top 10

Also Langford is 6'6 with a 6'11 wingspan, thats not undersized for a Sg/Sf type. Jaylen not undersized. Tatum is not undersized. Timelord is small for a center at 6'10, but has a gigantic wingspan.
