You're joking right Tr1boy?

edit: TPs to those who beat me to it.

nope

this guy is no woj

his sources are inconsistent

Wrong; he's right there with Woj. They are the only two; all others are pretenders.

Wonder if this is a setup for a possible sign and trade with Nets/DAR trade??

Woj
Haynes

then everyone else

Stein is ok

what big trade news was Shams first to break??

Sounds like a break up date.

Possibly, but why even do that if you know you there is no way you are coming back?  Unless you want to negotiate a sign and trade to help your new team.

Because he's a decent person and wants to give Danny a heads up so that he can draft accordingly with the new information? Boston traded for him. They gave up assets... I feel like this is the least he could do.

Because this is how its typically done, even when FAs already know they are leaving they have a sit down meeting with their current squads front office. Sometimes they are very short meetings though!

Yeah agreed.

Though the meeting could have been scheduled for a while now and we are just now hearing about it.

Its not like they can't just call Kyrie, they have his number I assume.

Does a decent person state

"If you will have me, I plan to resign"

Bit overboard on the masked profanity there, Triboy. Please don't do that

g-t-f-o here

You are literally filling this thread with garbage right now. First you claim to not know who Shams is, then when someone shares he is highly respected, you claim he has inconsistent sources. Then you curse out another poster for saying Kyrie is a decent person. Everyone on the board knows how you feel about the guy. You can discuss the news on him without this nonsense.

Again, either you know him or you don't. When you say "who is he?" "his sources are inconsistent" "tell me what he has done" you're just making a fool of yourself, as usual.

I don't agree with how he handled this year, I don't think that makes him an indecent person.

Evading the swear word filters with an edit however makes me glad my :police: days are done with. That's 5 minutes of stressing about the C's I would have to spend documenting things!

PS Thanks a lot Kyrie for waiting until Davis is traded to Lakers to agree to meeting with Celtics management.

Nice guy.

Yeah why couldn't this have happened 2 weeks ago?

Agreed. Exactly what I was thinking.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder whether Kyrie really did want to play with Davis or not. There were reports during the season that he hated that his name was constantly included with Davis’ name and that their futures were supposedly linked. Maybe he didn’t feel the need to reassure Danny about anything because he didn’t really want him to ultimately trade for Davis. That would also be consistent with him wanting to keep his buddy Tatum on the team, as any AD deal absolutely would’ve included him.

Who knows, maybe this will in fact be a positive meeting? It’s certainly possible given KD’s injury and the fact that AD is now traded to LA, which I still hold is a non-starter team for Kyrie to join given his past with Lebron. It’s also certainly possible given that him and KD just me this past weekend, so maybe he’s learned that KD is staying in GS or won’t go to Brooklyn with him.

Either way, there certainly seems like there will be more clarity around his future after this meeting.

If we've learned anything from this year, nothing is certain with Kyrie!

Have you been living under a rock these past few years or what?

Exactly, complete wildcard.  None of the following would surprise me
1. Going to the Nets
2. Going to the Lakers
3. Going to the NYK's
4. Resigning with the C's
