Any interest on either side with Smart?

Also.... why do the Suns want a veteran PG......

They're tired of being bad and they recognize PG is the biggest hole on their roster right now.

Because you can't win with a roster of all young players.

Cant sign and trade on draft night

But what about trading Rozier rights and 14th pick for the 6th

Im sure Rozier wont havr any problems signing with the Suns to get the opportunity he wants

Unfortunately the NBA doesn’t allow trading away free agency rights.
and just who the heck do you think you are to bring reality into a perfectly good CS fantasy??  >:(

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Wait wait wait - am I losing it, or have you always had a “1” in your username? I could’ve swore it was always an “i” and I called you “Triboy” lol

He capitalized his "T", it was always lower case in the past hence it threw some people off here lol.

If only there eas a way to sign and trade Rozier for whoever is drafted there in a threeway trade for Davis allowing the Celtics to keep Smart.  Tatum and picks still go.

I'd probably trade Smart and 14 for 6 and then just plan on re-signing Rozier.

Then put 6 in the trade with the Pelicans for Davis.  Might need to do the trades at the same time for salary purposes.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

That would be perfect for us.

From Phoenix' perspective there are benefits with Rozier. They can sign him for multiple years (a player already under contract will be a FA sooner), he won't cost a huge salary, he's young enough to fit the timeline with Booker and Ayton and he has extensive playoff experience (especially for a 25-year old). Below all the point guards in the NBA that have played more playoff minutes than Terry. Most of them are unavailable, (unrestricted) free agent or not good enough.

Tony Parker
Stephen Curry
Rajon Rondo
Chris Paul
Kyle Lowry
Kyrie Irving
Mike Conley
Damian Lillard
Jeff Teague
Derrick Rose
John Wall
Shaun Livingston
Marcus Smart

Only realistic options are Chris Paul, Mike Conley or Jeff Teague. I assume that Memphis, Minnesota and Houston will be happy to listen if the #6 pick is on the table. For Minnesota it would great, trade away Teague for an asset and re-sign Rose.

Here me out, before I get called crazy.

If you're the Toronto Raptors, shouldn't you consider this? Trade Kyle Lowry, maybe?

I mean, win or loss in this series, this could be an excellent deal for them. Fred VanVleet seems to be ready to take the reigns for that PG spot, and having the 6th pick either adds to their asset box to help surround Kawhi Leonard with talent, or use to rebuild if Leonard leaves.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

I think by veteran they mean "young veteran," not someone going on his 14th year. Just a guess.

They'd have to really put little value on the pick to give it for a 33 yr old with one year left on his deal.

A lot of the "veteran" PGs available most likely wouldn't want to play in Phoenix.

Conley fits the bill but he'd force his way out of there.

I think Rozier and the rights to 20 for the rights to 6 would be a great package for both teams.

You'd need a lot more than 20 attached to Rozier for that to be equal value.
