If he wants NYK we can do nothing to stop him from leaving on a Bosman to the Knicks.

I agree, if he wants NYK he will go.

This is selling NYK and Kyrie on a 3rd star.

That is the deal. Max slot for a wing players as well. And that costs Frank, DSJ and dropping from #3 to Number 14 in the draft
As someone previously stated, they can trade those assets for future picks to free up cap space if they need it.  They could also use them and more to try to trade for AD.  They could use those assets to trade for Jrue Holiday and more.

Also let's suppose your sign-and-trade plan was actually realistic.  They could also do the sign-and-trade with the Sixers for Butler.   That would allow them to play the Celtics and Sixers off each other to get the best deal for themselves.

Just don't think that Kyrie to NYK (along with Durant) would work...

Sure - it would sell LOTS of tickets...

Sure - it would make Spike (and Stephen A) BOMBASTIC with JOY...

Sure - it would fill the seats..

But after awhile REALITY would set in...

They'd need to make an actual ROSTER around these two that can actually COMPETE...this is NOT The Boston Celtics 2007-08....

Furthermore - riddle me THIS Batman

Why in THE WORLD would Kyrie even LEAVE BOS......??

LOOK - I get that this season ended poorly for the team. I get that some stuff has leaked out about our coaching staff...even Coach Stevens was MAN enough to admit that he could do better...

I believe Coach Stevens WILL do better...there's NO QUIT in that man...

But didn't Kyrie LEAVE LeBron because he wanted to FORGE OUT on HIS OWN..."WIN" on HIS OWN? Then why IN THE WORLD would he be running to NY to be Robin to Durant's BATMAN??

I'll respect Kyrie he leaves...I'll look back on his time here with joy...

But he can't continue to run in the face of adversity. One day soon he'll have to STAND.

BTW - Frank Gorshin will ALWAYS be my favorite Riddler.

Yeah that’s right. We might be able to get something small – maybe a second round pick? Or maybe we would just have to try and get a trade exception we might be able to use ourselves on somebody else. But obviously the knicks won’t want to help us there.

Beyond the salary issues there is no way Knicks give up the 3rd pick for a S&T. You would need to give 14, 20, 22 and the right's to future Grizz pick to even get close to pull it off. If the Knicks want more cap space they can deal guys away to other teams for nothing but non guarteed scrubs they can cut later or use as cheap roster holds.
