Well, the league's ratings are down and it makes sense from that standpoint. The media has been pushing even harder than usual for stars to go to LA/NY the last couple years.And SaS is the voice of ESPN, and ESPN is the media front for the league, so there might be something to it.Otherwise it doesn't make sense - the Knicks are legitimately awful and Kyrie and Durant aren't enough to beat tougher teams without a Lakers/Kings-like referee interference effort. But the league and media desperately want the Knicks to be relevant. Hundreds of millions are at stake.
