Serious question. Stevens wasn't able to manage the level of talent we had this year. How exactly is he going to manage another superstar talent in AD, who as we saw this year also has a bit of a diva streak to him, as well? He's not found a way to connect with Kyrie yet, so why would we expect him to figure that out along with integrating AD?

And for God's sake, I think we all have nightmares about what he'll turn AD into offensively. We'll have an elite, MVP-caliber interior threat who can attack the rim and finish on almost anyone in the league, and Brad will have him hanging out on the three point line.

Yeah, count me out for that.

LOL. I just said that in a post on the Five Paths thread.

Could be a problem with Stevens for sure. He has said he never coached a big at Butler because they could never recruit good ones. His coaching style was tailored without a big. Does it show in Boston?

If we pair AD/Kyrie do you think the media will get off Kyrie's nuts and jump on Anthony's?

Doubtful.  Kyrie likes to talk.  He provides plenty of quotables and says a lot of stupid things that the media loves to blow out of proportion.  He's an easier target.
its not that he likes to talk. He’s one of the 5 most famous people in the league.  He has several million followers on social media.  He talks because they keep shoving mics in his face and asking him questions.   Other players on the team get asked questions too and they often have tough answers - but nobody gives a crap because they aren’t a celebrity like kyrie.

This is the first time the Celtics have ever had a hugely relevant star in the social media era.  KG was a megastar too but the NBA media wasn’t what it is now back then and KG didnt have to be the face of an overrated roster that failed to live up to unreasonable expectations.

What about Kris humphries ;D

Eh, Brad can grow.  He's a young coach.  People forget that.  Let's give him another shot.  If he fails with a team stacked with Kyrie AND Davis, then it's time for him to go.

Problem is Gordon Hayward came back but he wasn't really good enough for the minutes that he was getting.  Honestly trading one of Brown/Tatum solves a lot of minutes problems as we didn't have enough minutes for wings.

Question, do Kyrie and/or Marcus Morris return?  Kyrie will definitely opt out for bigger money.  And Morris will probably want more money than we can afford to pay.

If one of Brown/Tatum is traded for AD that leaves our wing situation at let's say Brown and Hayward.  Not a lot of depth.

If we obtain AD and Kyrie stays the lineup is:

1. Kyrie
2. Brown
3. Hayward
4. Davis
5. Horford

Can that lineup compete with Toronto and Milwaukee?  How about a Durantless Warriors?  Call me crazy, but I think so.
