Feel like the locker room was split...Kyrie vs Rozier and Brown. Tatum prolly also.

Hayward and Al seem like they were trying to stay above it all.

Total failure.

And to be honest kyrie has been there and the kids haven’t.  Swallow your pride and know your role.  That was the issue back before the all star break.  You wanna be a star but you don’t wanna do ur part.    Jaylen got it and he improved.  Tatum and rozier were selfish and declined.  Rozier chucking up shots and Tatum crying about every non call.  Just shut up and play.

The worst thing that couldve happened to boston last year was that long run which in part was aided by a very weak east. The east is much tougher this year and last years team may not make it out of the first found.

it made guys like Rozier/Tatum read the media clippings about them and get big heads. And then they never really bought in. Jaylen Brown give him credit, bought in found his role and ended the year on a high note. He was a bright spot in this second round.

can we sign and trade Rozier (i think he is restricted) so that we can get some value back for him?

I feel like you are just making crap up based on nothing at all.

We do not know what the personalities involved are who aligned with who.  who is self promoting.

Rozier's bad attitude and selfishness were on full display through this season, from sulking on the bench to not passing the ball and jacking up bad shots to get his numbers.  That "Scary Terry" crap really went to his head.

I'm not sure why he's so upset either.  So he wants to be a starter?  So does Jaylen Brown.  And whose starting role was he going to take?  Tatum's?  Nah.  Kyrie's?  Don't make me laugh.  Smart's?  Keep dreaming.  And unlike you, Terry, Jaylen Brown had previously been a starter but accepted his role even though he likely wasn't happy with it, and found a way to eventually thrive and contribute on both ends of the floor.  Take notes instead of whining.

And in reality, he should be grateful he got as many minutes as he did this season.  He's a low IQ, overdribbling, can't run pick and roll, inefficient shoot-first guard who has frequent defensive lapses.  Far more often than not the Celtics were significantly worse with him on the floor.  If he was indeed disruptive in the locker room, that in combination with his poor play should have earned him multiple DNP's.  Just one of many examples where Brad didn't hold his players accountable, by the way.

I was a Rozier supporter for his first two years.  Now I can't wait until he's officially no longer a Boston Celtic and the sooner he's gone the better I'll feel about our team moving forward.  I hope Danny doesn't even extend the QO as a way of saying "get lost". By all means Terry if you're ready to leave Boston then please do, and take your 32% playoff FG% with you.

Safe to say I can’t wait until he’s gone. Good luck at your next stop though.

Hate that we are losing assets for nothing

Yep, that is on Ainge for not moving Rozier when he had the chance.

He's still restricted, he won't go anywhere unless we let him go. If Kyrie walks, I can still see Ainge keeping Rozier.

Good coaching woulda put him on the wing and developed him into a sg like avery Bradley.
He's not a good enough shooter or defender to play off the ball full time.

Then good coaching would have benched him.

Everyone saw this coming...he had the playoff run, got a deal with Puma FFS, came back with a bazillion more tattoos, Danny could have traded him for a 1st round pick.

I wouldn't be so sure. There are a lot of unknowns going into this offseason. Ainge left many options open.

Quote
Terry Rozier on what he wants in free agency: “I’m looking forward to a family, someone that greets me like a family and is gonna invest in me all the way. Other than that I’m gonna go from there.”

His thoughts on the Celtics, who will have option to match offers: “No comment.”

Subtle dig at Ainge? There was some talk on Twitter that the mystery player Ainge shopped at the deadline was Rozier.

If Ainge didn't aggressively shop Rozier at the deadline, he wasn't doing his job.

It was painfully obvious all year that he was unhappy and that he was one of the biggest components of the bad atmosphere in the locker room.

100% agree. I think Ainge should've moved him in the offseason and it was a mistake that he didn't.
It's very annoying when you think how far his value has dropped. We could have likely easily gotten a DJ Augustin or something for him.

Anything resembling a decent back-up PG please Danny :(

If my memory serves correct we were both riding the Augustin train since way before the trade deadline.  He would have been a perfect fit off the bench.  I'd like to see the team bring in some more veterans regardless of the path they choose during the off-season.
Definitely how I remember it. He's been so solid since joining the Magic and has only improved, becoming a more efficient guy than he was in Charlotte.

Blegh. Hopefully JJ Reddick decides he want very little money and wants to come here. More floor-spacing would be very appreciated!

Too bad Ainge is probably going to get us someone equal to Jonathan Gibson, Gershon Yabusele, or Jabari Bird, whom all are irrelevant 3rd string players.

Anonymous Celtics player throwing shots at Kyrie "He's hard to play with. It's all about him."

Must be Terry Rozier.

Wasn't Jeff Goodman the guy who talked about the "anonymous Golden State player" who said Hayward was a liability? Maybe that was Rozier as well
