If we come back from 3-1, and we win this series, what will you guys think?
I think those predicting doom will get very quiet and the site will have a lot less traffic between games.
Sadly, during the season this site gets a bunch less participation between games when the Celtics are winning than when they lose.
The reason for this (in my case) is that I am looking for people that can understand my plight as a fan of this particular team. Obviously for anyone living in Boston or the NE area, there are more empathetic ears and people that have watched every game in the postseason with whom one can converse about the games. When the Celtics win, I am generally in a pretty good mood the following day and when they lose, particularly in the postseason, I am not happy. Since Game 4, I have been in a wretched mood and I am looking forward to tonight regardless of the outcome. Either I get closure, or the team actually puts up a fight and plays a complete game.
Nick, just to finish on your point, I need to let out my frustration on this medium more than I need to gloat or talk about everything being rosy when the Celtics win, but I will try to remember your words and post in both scenarios going forward.
Kinda feel you. My birthday is next week, and I do not want the Celtics to disappoint me anymore but it feels inevitable with inconsistency and chemistry problems going on this whole year. Either win 3 straight or just lose it tonight so I don't have to be disappointed anymore this season with this train-wreck roster.
It would be a killjoy if they win Game 5 and then lose Game 6 cuz that would be the 2018-2019 Celtics lol.
