We don't have enough Marcus Smarts. Not enough dogs...too many finesse players.

I don't know if we need more Marcus Smarts, it would be fun, but we really need all our guys to play with more effort and fire.  It has been missing from almost everyone but Smart / Kyrie since the start of the season.  On def especially, we need Tatum, Rozier, Brown, Horford to step up the intensity.

I’ve been saying this for a while. We Don’t have enough mongrel in our team, not enough scrappers. Being coronated champions of the East before the season even started was the worst thing that could have happened.

Definitely agree with this. Even Big Al has had a lot of questionable effort games.

What kind of odds would people have given on this bet:

"After 25% of the season, the Celtics will be on track to get all four of their possible picks in the 2019 draft...and their own pick will be the best"

I agree with everyone that said we do not have a shooting guard, because WE DONT.

Klay Thompson is going to be a FA I am sure he is on the Laker bandwagon too. Is there a FA out there that does not want to play for the Lakers?

Laker fans are starting to get obnoxious.

Also, remember how hot Marcus Morris was to start the season? He's cooled off quite a bit.

Yeah I have noticed too.  He was fantastic those first 10-12 games.  I still think he is a great 6th / 7th man on our team.  Our starters need to play better.

Yeah, while Morris has definitely come back down to Earth a bit, he's still not a problem in my book and is exceeding expectations if anything. I also think he's one of the few that is comfortable in his role on the team.

Honeymoon is also over for Ainge. He assembled a mis-matched roster.

80% of our team plays the same position.

Hayward, Tatum, Brown and Morris are all small forwards who are either starters or play a large amount of minutes.

We have no shooting guard and 2 centers that are okay, but not great.

We need a shooting guard, a better center and less wing players.

This position-less basketball is starting to get ridiculous.
We have a shooting guard in Jaylen who's underutilized and three big men in Baynes, Theis and Williams who all have different skillsets and can be used to hold down the position by committee. Sure it's not ideal but you'd expect Brad Stevens, one of the brightest minds in the NBA to make it work with his ideology of positionless basketball.

I just don't think Jaylen Brown is a shooting guard. I think he's anything but.

He's a small forward who relies alot on his athleticism but doesn't have a consistent jump shot, not a great free throw shooter and still doesn't have a great feel for the game.

Played well tonight, but it didn't really matter.

Jaylen is fine at SG. In fact, I think he is an All-Star talent at SG. His defense is All-League level while his offense is more-good-than-great. His lack of handles and passing is a real limitation at SG. I am happy enough with Jaylen's shooting but that secondary playmaking that a SG is expected to provide is something the team needs. I also like that he can create mismatches and post up smaller guards. I don't think we're seeing that as much as last year.

I do agree though that he is a natural SF. He is practically the prototype for a slashing SF. His quickness and driving ability would be enhanced at SF.
