Any chance he's part of a trade with Philly and is being held out to prevent a potential injury that could upset the talks?
Why would they trade Morris to Philly?

I think Woj reported that they are talking about Okafor
I don't get love obsession with Okafor. He does nothing to make the team better.

He's young and big and he has offensive skill and hasn't been coached in a winning environment since he's gotten into the NBA. I could just as easily not have him on the roster. I would only want to pick him up for basically nothing. I think it would be up to Brad. It looks like something could be done with him. It seems like a waste of talent.

So we trade one of the best 1 on 1 defender in the league for one of the most horrible defensive player? Absolute NO!
Most horrible defensive player? Off of what are you basing your baseless assumption from?

Your honor, I'd like to enter Exhibit A:

Let’s all try a little harder to not have every thread get derailed by a Jahlil Okafor debate especially when it’s sparked by a fake rumor from a fake account (@wojverticalnba is not woj. Check for the blue check.) I’m intrigued by his skill set and potential and understand his shortcomings but not every thread is for discussing these ad nauseam.

I don’t think we need to worry about Marcus Morris just yet. He seems to be dealing with a minor injury and is playing catch-up due to missing training camp. With Brown and Tatum off to good starts, there’s no need to rush to incorporate Morris.

I wonder if Noel might fit in their plans for that Hayward injury exception. He is from Everett and wants to play in Boston.

he seems to be worth a reclaimation project .   I mean ... there  was a ton of haters on Turner when Danny signed him.  If Boston could turn his career around ,  like Turner, even if you don't keep him , maybe you flip him for another pick.  Morris IMO has no excuse not to be in shape ,   they don't have gyms where he lived ?   He is a professional .....unless he was injured and we bought damaged goods from Pistons.

Sounds like they're just letting him work back cautiously as others have said.

I'd like him back soon so we can start to work him into the rotation though. SAS lost tonight so I'm  curious how they come out tomorrow.

It's not like we are desperate without Morris. He'll be ready when he's ready. I'm sure Stevens just wants him get prepared and involved in all the actions. He realy does't need to rush with him. Our play is looking quite good for now.
