So I originally typed an entire post detailing three trades and didn't copy it before the site crashed. The point of my post was to outline three separate trades that ultimately land us Jimmy Butler, Paul George, and Anthony Davis. By no means would I expect all three teams to cooperate. However, it is mighty impressive that we could make three separate offers to Chicago, Indy, and New Orleans without including the same assets in any deal.
The remaining players from last years roster would be IT, Smart, Horford, and Zizic. Adding Butler, George, and Davis to this mix puts us at $101.9 Million in salaries. I don't want to retype everything but the entire premise of these deals revolves around Indy taking two draft picks from us that aren't Brooklyn 2017, Brooklyn 2018, or LA 2018/Sac 2019. The Pacers want to move quickly and know that they can't expect top tier picks for George. As for Chicago, I am going to assume Stephen A. Smith is correct about the Bulls calling Philly regarding the #3 pick. We would unload #3 + one or two players for Butler. The rest of our remaining roster and picks would go to New Orleans for Davis.
I know it's an absolute pipe dream but you could easily put together three different offers that all look reasonable at face value. Let's cross our fingers and hope for an awesome summer!
