Keep in mind, it's not up to PG where the Pacers trade him. They aren't just going to trade him to the Lakers because that's where he wants to go.

If Ainge were to trade for him, it's harder for a guy to leave a winning organization and sign for the same amount of money to go to a losing situation....in the West. He's never getting to the Finals in the West. If PG signs in Boston he will be in the playoffs next year (maybe Finals) and then turn around and tell everyone he's going to the Lakers...I don't think so.

Ainge should be leery of the Cavs offering Love. The question is how long will Bron be in Cleveland.

Offer  AB, KO, Crowder and a future pick. If PG signs extension, they add the Lakers 2018 #1. If PG doesn't sign extension, that pick becomes a 2nd round pick.

Actually this is one idea where I can get on board.  If PG doesn't resign, we give up less.  Would Larry Bird be willing to deal with Danny?  PG13 obviously doesn't want to go back to Indiana so maybe they will take a reasonable offer that is a win for both teams now.

This reminds me of the KG trade.  More likely though we will have to give up the #3 this year in the trade package for the Pacers to actually bite.
No one is giving out 1 first rounder for him after this leak

If the Lakers trade for Paul George I guess we 'll end up with the Sacramento pick. Last time the Kings got a top 3 pick was in 1991. So yeah, it's possible we traded the #1 pick for #3 and a mid/late lotto pick 2 years down the road. Great job Danny boy!

Didn't The Kings get the #3 this year but thanks to a trade with the 6ers they had to swap?
They had the 8th worst record though. They just got ''lucky'' in the lottery.
If you are gonna discredit them for that then you've got to I've them the benefit of having been top 3 lotto odds twice since they won a whopping totol of 38 games in the 07-08 season. Since then they have neither finished above 8th worst record in the league nor won more than 33 games.

AB, KO, Crowder + #3 pick for PG as a potential one year rental, potential long term deal. Sounds a bit steep, but that's probably what it would take.
Celtics fan for life.

Did anyone ever hear PG say he wants to play for the Lakers? Who started that narrative?

I don't even believe it's a realistic narrative. I think just because Bron went home, someone said all the other players want to do the same thing. I remember everyone thought KD was coming back here to the DC area. The Wiz never even made his final list.

PG will sign an extension in Boston once negotiations start. He knows he's never winning in the West. Get rid of LeBron and the Celtics will run the East for 5 years.

Also no Cousins this year.

Will the Lakers trade the #2 pick, Mosgov and Deng for PG13?

Why PG wants to go to the Lakers and lose is bewildering.

If Magic gets him now, If I were Ainge I would trade the pick immediately.

Why would Indy take back crap long term contracts.

They want good contracts and good picks, we have both!

Yeah. I love how some people argue that the Lakers will be much better this year because they sat their highest paid players last year to tank. They sat their highest paid players because they suck.

Lakers trade the No. 2 and some bad contracts for George. They become good enough to be first round cannon fodder in the playoffs. George leaves in free agency.
I'm
It is a plausible storyline in today's NBA.

That would be hilarious. Ruin their team, and I doubt any big FA's would want to go there if George left after one season.

what a stupid move to do that publicly, if i'm a pacer fan i would boo him all season long. best case scenario is that he is gone before the game 1.
and i think that pg would get us over the hump, hump being the cleveland cavaliers. He is MVP type of a guy, long, skilled, defends, scores.
