As an aside, I think Fox is the most underrated prospect in this years class. I think he has John Wall type potential.
fox is quite the talent, i agree he is very good. he owned ball in their match up in the playoffs.
most of all, the complaint about fox has been his shooting, which was very poor early in the season. but it did improve.
please keep in mind this is a small sample size, but fox shot 37.5 percent from 3 over his last 15 games of the year, and an impressive 47.4 percent in his last 10 games.
fox also shot 73 percent from the free throw line for the season.
my point here is similar to one i made for jackson, they each started the season shooting god-awfully. by the end of the season, they were both very good at 3 pointers.
is this a fluke or did they figure out how to shoot? jackson just turned 20, fox is still 19. it is really possible that they have, will, become good shooters.
if jackson can shoot 3 pointers at 37% or higher, which he did for the final part of the season, how valuable is he?
if fox can shoot 3 pointers at 37% or higher, which he did for the final part of the season, how valuable is he?
this is what the scouts, Ainge, and other have to decide. honestly, if it were me, i would take fox over ball in the draft. fox is really really a great player aside from his shooting. if he solves that, he will be good.
