He shot 39% from deep this year and last year he was 1 vote away from an all-Defense selection
Which makes it more mystifying how he has been vanishing in some games in the playoffs. To me, he is a certain level of player and that level of player will only get you so far in the playoffs.
His stats are about the same as they were in the regular season, save his shooting percentages.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/crowdja01/gamelog/2017/The last game was really bad for him. SF is an offensive position for most teams. He is seventeen in forwards by PPG in the playoffs. I can see the lapse if he was busting his tail on D, guarding a LeBron but he isn't. He is in a funk.
44th in points scored by forwards in the playoffs.

http://stats.nba.com/players/traditional/#!?sort=FG3_PCT&dir=-1I am grateful for what he did this season but in the off season he has been a source of anxiety on the offensive end time after time. Sometimes I think he is only about 6-4 tall. I hope he turns it around and proves me wrong.
Crowder is a placeholder, take it easy on him.
Sorry you might not have heard but they don't give out participation awards in the playoffs, you either deliver or you go home.
I think we need some offensive help and we need it now. Crowder is trying to hard to be that guy which he is not. Play within his game and his strengths. In the regular season he took 10 shots from the field and 5.5 from the trey line. Playioffs is has been 10.8 and 5.1 threes but many of them have been ill advised and attempts at money shots that he has no business taking.
His FTA per game are down from 3 FTA to 2.7. Maybe the OP is on to something.
